  1. Sounds fun. Link?
  2. Ok, thanks for the info. I could have kept that going for a while.
  3. But can you tell us which day you will be able to share a date?
  4. Where does one find this newsletter? Why not put a link in the first post
  5. It's definitely still used. I follow a bunch of game companies on Twitter and they use that term in announcements.
  6. Funny, I'm waiting on other content but don't really care about the Apache.
  7. Careful, it may be a few hundred thousand seconds!
  8. Have they ever done that? It's been a month since the last update. I'm pretty sure it's been said that it will be released along with a bunch of other fixes and content.
  9. To be fair, we have no idea of the status of the rest of the patch content.
  10. *Raises hand Is there any possibility of giving us a heads up about any campaigns coming up in this next update? I'm in kind of a limbo state between campaigns right now and am wondering about new modules to learn.
  11. Yeah, it hinders our ability to reenact some of the more harrowing operations as described in Chickenhawk, where the author Robert Mason provided some much-needed tree trimming services for the Vietnamese while simultaneously airlifting infantry.
  12. When it is released it will be on OB first. But it will still be in EA state when it's finally pushed to Stable. It's just that stable gets updated less frequently than OB.
  13. I think it's pretty obvious that he is referring to the impending release of Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose.
  14. For what it's worth, I switch between helos and fixed wing quite often with that throttle. My brain is able to easily distinguish the difference between how the craft act differently when I'm in them, and aside from when I was just learning helicopter flight, I don't have any issues anymore with moving the axis the wrong way by accident.
  15. Yeah, I was a little overwhelmed at first. I ended up 'cheating' and just looked at the loadouts of each mission before starting the campaign, pasted them into a spreadsheet, and read up on each of those weapons. That at least reduced the amount of study since the campaign doesn't use every piece of armament available to the Hornet. (Definitely not a knock on the campaign. The missions were pretty varied and covered a lot of what the Hornet can do) I ended up completing Raven One in the end. Awesome experience and recommended for anyone who has the required modules. Awaiting the next campaign!
  16. Maybe not from DCS's perspective. But you can always trick any application into being installed multiple places by using symbolic links in Windows. Also if it's your primary drive that has only 100mb free, then I think you're going to have bigger problems. Maybe run a disk cleanup and delete old copies of Windows update files.
  17. Enable the JHMCS. See the ED manual or Chuck's guide to see how to turn it on and align it. To turn it on, use the HMD dial on the right of the right most display. But also if you cold start it will have to be aligned.
  18. is it the same people working on textures/3d modeling that also build the code that dictate AI and weapons behavior and things like weather?
  19. I think it's Heatblur's fault, as compared to the F-14 some of the other modules do look visually dated in comparison. Also see the Caucasus map compared to Syria, etc
  20. Master Arm on and A/G selected?
  21. I've done software testing for work, and often organizations have checklists that cover the most commonly used features and scenarios. Checklists are used so that testing is done in a consistent and structured manner, and to standardize communication and to keep documentation of test history. I'd imagine that ED does similar. And often these test plans are proprietary info, but if an admin wants to shed light on what is covered then I'm sure they will.
  22. Absolutely not. Campaigns are really the biggest bargains in the DCS store, especially with the long term support that a lot of these creators provide, Reflected especially.
  23. That's kind of a weird qualifier - I'm not sure I understand. Will each module that uses FLIR need to be manually updated, or will the changes automatically be seen across all of them once the new tech is released?
  24. I just tested and was able to. If a file is on your PC you should be able to modify it.
