  1. Are wheel chocks on?
  2. ^ That is why I will always buy Reflected's campaigns (Among other reasons)
  3. From that range how do you know which are the bombers?
  4. What are the K and W? Are those tanker and AWACS?
  5. Some campaigns utilize a feature like that, but the mission creator has to implement the option into specific points in the missions.
  6. You're not going to get an answer for that here
  7. Yes, this, and also the crazy maneuvers often seen in groups of AI flying in formation. There is some real wackiness in a lot of the WW2 campaigns.
  8. Do I recall that someone is making a campaign for it? Reflected maybe?
  9. Storage space aside, also to consider is the impact that these liveries have on download speed for customers with less than optimal internet connections.
  10. Isn't there an option for that already? Not at my PC so I don't remember what it's called.
  11. Who's ever referred to gigabits of ram?
  12. Yeah, also weird to me. They cycled the arresting hook while on the cat? I'll have to learn to do this or check the NWS light before launch, maybe by learning the hard way a few times By the way, I'm a warbird pilot at heart, and have never loved a jet like I do this Tomcat. One free trial period was all it took. So thanks for all that you do.
  13. I don't know about others, but I don't do it purposefully. It just happens as I look around.
  14. What is kind of startling in VR is the sudden wind noise when your head breaches that plane. Any sudden increase in noise is especially disconcerting when in a hostile situation
  15. I typically just subtract six or seven from their stated carrier brc due to magnetic variation, and I think it works out ok that way? Is that not how it's supposed to work? Either way during landing I use tacan to get myself like 90% there, then ICLS needles and the carrier green/red lights to line myself up perfectly, so I'm not sure if tacan needs to be 100% accurate at that stage. I didn't have any issues hitting the triggers during this mission while getting on the right radial, but I'm not sure how much buffer Reflected gives the player.
  16. That'll teach you
  17. Isn't there a patch tomorrow? Not sure what's in it though.
  18. Real pilots do their BIT tests during cat launches
  19. I thought the hotfix patch was scheduled for tomorrow
  20. Fully agreed. My takeaway from learning the Tomcat, a module that I didn't expect to love so much, is that it has many of the benefits and versatility of a modern fighter with the visceral feel of a warbird. It's a real stick and rudder plane that lacks the sterile feeling of fly-by-wire aircraft. Best of both worlds. Edit - and, speaking of rudder, get used to really kicking the Tomcat around using your pedals during close-in dogfights unless you want to repeatedly recreate the dramatic scene from a certain mid-80s action movie.
  21. During the battle of Britain, British drivers were encouraged to drive on the right side of the road in order to confuse the Luftwaffe into thinking they were over the mainland and mistakenly land at a British airfield. To further the illusion the War Office also provided VW stickers for drivers to place over the griffin logo on their Vauxhalls and outdoor diners had their breakfast sausages cut long and twisted in a bow so that they would be mistaken for pretzels from above.
  22. You should just be able to find the miz files in the Campaign folder, then copy them to the missions folder under Saved Games. Then browse to My Missions in DCS to open one that you want to play.
  23. Man, I thought my wingman in an F-14 campaign was taking forever to refuel. I just ended up telling him to rejoin after a few minutes which got him to disconnect from the tanker. Fix soon? I see this thread is from April
  24. Trying to play the Fear the Bones campaign in the open beta but the AI Hornets that take off before me (which seem critical to the mission) just immediately crash into the water Are we getting a patch for this soon? Edit - I see Bignewy's comment in the Bugs section. Thanks much.
  25. I thought they had this issue solved in the 70s
