  1. Im looking at some online references - does not the numbering start at 0 for both axes on the bottom left? (I'm new at this)
  2. Hi, can you help to explain the below, from the campaign intro? How does that correspond to the bottom right of the FM square?
  3. I'll likely be the first of many people here to recommend the MFGs, which are mechanically very nice. The default is the whole-foot pedals, like bf109 pedals, but my understanding is that there are other foot rests available for them where that's not the case, like P-51 pedals where your heel is on the floor. Edit- yes, on their website now you can select which type of foot rest you want from the get go, which is more than were available when I got mine. These are lifetime pedals, likely to last you forever and are very customizable.
  4. Lol, that guy had to perform some tree trimming with the rotors Not sure how the physics engine can cope with that. Crazy book though
  5. "Reinstall Windows" is a horrible solution... Actually, maybe I'll use that as my go-to answer when someone at work complains about any software that I support
  6. Yes, that's what I do as well. It still uses SteamVR.
  7. The refresh rates are fixed at whatever settings you have in WMR, like 90 or 60. When it can't hit that rate, it has to be an even fraction of that, like 45 if you have it set to 90, or 30 if you have it at 60. Turning on reprojection in SteamVR will add software-interpolated frames to keep it at 60 or 90 regardless of how many actual frames your system is generating at any point.
  8. You can take ginger tablets, or for a more potent effect, a little bit of Bonine or Dramamine. I used to at first, but soon weened my way off of them and experience no sickness now.
  9. Have you tried giving them orders to RTB?
  10. The proper channels are in the kneeboard. I don't remember exactly which the carrier is right now though, but they all should be there. Are you also sure that it's in T/R mode, and also set to Pilot and not RIO?
  11. There is a topic under the Reflected section of the forums. He's pretty good about responding to the topics under his campaigns: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/797-f-14a-zone-5-campaign/ I assume that you can use the Jester Tacan as sort of a "standby" channel in order to switch to it quickly, but I've not tried that. It seems like it would work.
  12. There are three main resources for learning a complex aircraft like the Tomcat: read the manual, watch videos, and complete the training missions that come with it. Chuck's guides are very good, and Heatblur has a website for this plane that details all the systems.
  13. I have not tried it, but there's this: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315176/
  14. To my knowledge, no sim has endeavored to replicate the storied Principality of Sealand.
  15. Are all of your radios on, and ICS switch? Not sure if those matter with Jester, but those are some of the first things I always do in the cockpit.
  16. They let you "test" Windows 11 in a browser now. All the features aren't enabled of course, but you can click around a little as well as open a browser in it. So of course I went to the Windows 11 test website in that browser to see if you can test Windows 11 within Windows 11. I was amused. Not sure if that helps with your decision.
  17. Finished! I really enjoyed this campaign. I managed to get a handful of air-to-air kills in dogfight scenarios with the Sparrow despite the F-14A's engines and I not getting along very well. The creative ending was cool and I enjoyed the different personalities expressed in the voice-overs. Thanks Reflected - campaigns like this are exactly why I am a DCS customer.
  18. If you're using the SteamVR beta version, then opt out of that and use the normal one.
  19. No, I'm not sure. What are the other planes with the wings folded up and the rounded noses that are parked on the carrier sometimes? It was one of those. It was right next to one of the Tomcats that was on cat 3 or 4 - the blast deflector was up but it never launched. There were Tomcats on 3 and 4, and one of them on either 1 or 2 as well. I should have taken a screenshot but I play in VR. Hopefully it was isolated - I've never seen this before. Edit - An S-3 Viking?
  20. I finished this mission on the second attempt (after getting shot down by a 29 on the first). I was very happy to have achieved a Sparrow kill on a 29 on the second attempt in a nasty furball, and all the wingmen survived too. I'm not the most adept dogfighter so that is an accomplishment for me Upon returning to the carrier though, there were three Tomcats looking like they were ready to launch, but they never did. And an Intruder looking out of place right next to them? I didn't get a screenshot. Fortunately these missions don't require landing though and I was able to just quit and proceed.
  21. Awesome new video about running take offs in the Huey. I can't wait for this campaign! I haven't had Huey time in a while and it will surely be nice to be low and slow over the new map.
  22. Also make sure that the DCS window is the focused window on your PC or else I don't think keystrokes will work.
  23. Look under your axis settings in the controls and see if a zoom is mapped to something that you don't expect
  24. It was an issue with the Harrier. Not sure if it still is
  25. Maybe if you're in Air to Air mode on the hud?
