  1. Interesting thanks for the correction :)
  2. I noticed a roll to the left while cruising on the F-5 ACM campaign, but put it down to the instrumentation pod on the left wing-tip with the right empty. The fuel load is not symmetrical, but from memory, the left tank has less than the right (dials rather blurry in VR), so I would guess it should go the other way. Also, if you look at the rear of the plane sometimes, one engine is on AB, while the other isn't despite both appearing to be at the same throttle setting. Lots of things could be effecting it ... sorry, not a lot of help!
  3. Another excellent guide ... any chance you could add the EM diagram??
  4. Are we likely to see more turbulence effects from external sources interacting with the a/c, ie. * the infamous ever changing 'burble' on carrier-landing - significant feature of carrier approaches * wake turbulence behind tankers * the movement of the AAR basket as the a/c gets close * the effect of an AAM leaving a pylon and the exhaust gases passing over the wing etc I know this will take lots of CPU, but most of us have a couple of cores sitting practically idle while DCS is running :)
  5. Vegas seems really dark ... only a few street lights :( VR, DS on, 2xAA etc
  6. Still present for me too ... discovered I can turn the mirrors and rolling sea on and off with the <LShift><M> :)
  7. For me, definately mirrors ... turn them on and sea animation stops rolling from F1 view, turn them off and it looks brilliant!
  8. Thanks ... I'll check and post the result. I think when I reinstalled, mirrors were off in the AV-8B ...
  9. I did take a series of screen caps ... not sure they show it very well. The missions was custom, just an LHA off the coast and an AV8B. Was repeatable. Definitely plenty of wind, hence the white caps. The ship was rolling and moving, hence it appear that the waves moved as the ship went forwards, however they didn't move relative to themselves as they did in the F2 view. A reinstall seems to have fixed it! Sorry I can't be of more help! PS> Awesome update BTW!
  10. It looks realistic (IMHO) from F2 view, but in F1 view the whitecaps do appear/disappear very slowly but the sea surface itself is not animated/moving. I've just done a complete reinstall to see if it fixes it ...
  11. I did an upgrade not a clean install ... no graphics mods that I remember.
  12. Worth a try, thanks anyway
  13. Didn't make a difference ... you get a very different view of the sea from F2 (moving) to F1 (not). Different aircraft make no difference.
  14. I can certainly try it ...
  15. Thanks for the comment, happens to me from sitting on LHA deck and upwards ... water on High and DS on. Up high in F2 you can see white caps appearing and disappearing, inside the pit, they say the same.
  16. In F1 view the sea doesn't 'move', ie. no rolling waves. If I press F2 or F9, the waves are moving and animated.
  17. +1 ... never liked the reflections on the sea
  18. If you check this video at around 1:26, you see the FPM very briefly go through the gun piper, so its possibly as in RL (at least in some Harriers) ... but I agree, its annoying!
  19. Perhaps ED could add a black skin version of every plane that the user can select if required, so that when the transition from dot to model happens, you don't lose sight?? Select it if you need to.
  20. Seems much more pronounced in the Av-8B than in the F-5, an aircraft with a similar weight ... perhaps the F-5 doesn't carry quite the same load out on the wings?
  21. Although twin 30mm guns rather than the 25mm on the AV-8B. Edit: I think he shot down a Pucara and C-130 with guns
  22. Great video, lovely precision on rolls ... they had a SHAR2 there that day as well :)
  23. I'm seeing this too ... you kind of skid around. I'm sure its on their list. In VR with all the rolling and pitching, if I sit on deck to long, I start to feel sick!
