Recently I was looking at maps of my own area in Scotland, one of the biggest differences between the war years and now is the amount of railways, I was quite astounded by the amount of lines and sidings and the branches going off into individual factories. The Beeching cuts in 1960s devastated the rail network in the UK, and to keep it in context Dr Beeching was born in Sheerness in Kent. Ok now onto St Leonards and West Marina depot just west of Hastings. I know we cannot have full details on the map, here is a comparison from the railway pictures from the early 1930's, the aerial pic from 1957, just before the Beeching cuts and what is on the channel map. This was just a quick example.

When I did my first flight I could not trim out the forces no matter what I did, was almost at full right rudder to keep straight and level. Got really frustrated by it and was ready to throw in the towel, if I can trim the Spit hands off surely I can trim this... nope, tried re mapping the controls for trim as I could not hold the stick and trim at the same time ( using a twisty TM160000M just now) Then I went into the setup usb controller to see what was happening in there and the rudder was not centred and I could not get it to re centre, I had to hold 1/2 to 3/4 right rudder to get the rudder centred, the controller would not auto centre at all. Eventually I downloaded a manual calibration utility for the TM16000M and manually set up my rudder and low and behold it now works fine. That first hour or so was really frustrating and a source of much cursing of the P47 :) but now it flies like a dream and I can trim to hands off no problem.

You are running the Open Beta version of DCS? The map is not available on the stable version of DCS yet.

After a good bit of reading, all the publications I have say the Data Link was not fitted or in UK Armed Forces termology Fitted For but not actually Fitted :) But if it was it should come up on the navigation display, and it may be referenced in one of the as yet still restricted manuals. Also have very little detail on the Redtop missile, some engagement charts but nothing like gimble slew speed or seeker range or even speed (should be somewhere around 3.5M)

In my first lesson in a Cessna 150 the instructor wound in progressively more and more up trim until I was bracing with both hands on the yoke and my back braced hard on the back of the seat to try and keep the aircraft level, yeah a desktop joystick just does not match that force required.

Been getting those too with Bitdefender, from the last two OB updates of the F14-FlightModel.dll and F14-HeatblurCommon.dll in the latest update as well as ED's world and golbalworld .dll files in the previous update

It had been excluded from the time of the last patch as it too had generated a quarantine event But that does not address why, of late, that the patches are generating an event when before they did not.

And after restoring world.dll it triggers off another warning and quarantine:

And patches that don't trigger the anti virus.

Thanks, that was it. Bitdefender had quietly quarantined it without giving me an alert to it happening. Updated and logged in :thumbup:

Tried applying the hotfix and get an access error cannot move file, the file WorldGeneral.dll which it is trying to move does not seem to be there when I look at the respective directories in _downloads and in BIN I tried again to update see if it would download the file but I get the same error I enclose the two log files for the auto update.
