  1. And for starters you should, IMO, set your rudder axis curve to -15 to give it an appropriate amount of sensitivity.
  2. For flyable planes you’d probably be best served with the mid war stuff. So, something like Nieuport 17 and Spad 7 vs. Albatross D.III for the flyable planes, and then add in a AI recon plane from both sides. Not sure of the proper ones for mid war but maybe the DH.4 and the German Aviatik. Assets would need to be Aerodrome stuff: hangers, tents, barracks, and AA MGs/Flak. Also some covered trucks, a couple tanks, and infantry. Fuel and ammo trucks for rearming. Then general map stuff for the map itself. Trees, rivers, lakes, the no mans land with trenches and burnt out towns, cities on both sides.
  3. The DM for FC is one of the worst DM’s in existence. None of the planes damage properly at all. In fact it’s so bad that it has killed off the game’s player base
  4. Well the competitors in this field are terrible, so DCS quality ww1 planes and DCS quality damage model and graphics would be amazing.
  5. Thanks for the… clarity.
  6. Oh I see, the game physically limits you to the broken/worse one because of realism despite neither being realistic? I’m just teasing sort of
  7. I want Apache. Feelsbadman
  8. Ok. So… I’m going to keep using the litening pod until things progress
  9. I don’t know what the real ones are like. But I thought the ATFLIR was newer? Am I wrong there? The ATFLIR has way worse clarity and zoom range
  10. No matter if I have switch on radio or ICS I do not hear ground crew voices when in hot start on multiplayer server. Do you still need a track?
  11. Check your keybinds, they reset most of them in that update. Confirm that you have it bound still.
  12. I guess it depends on what exactly your gripe is? The controls are a bit twitchy by default so that it works properly with stick extension. If like me you don’t use a stick extension then you should add either +10 curves to pitch and roll axes, or reduce X saturation down to like 80 in pitch and roll. the trim I think still has a bug as they didn’t include the fix in the previous patch. there is some kind of a WIP issue with the FM it seems since it doesn’t appear to weathervane correctly in sideways flight to the right, unless that is a new implementation of LTE. the aircraft also seemed to lose some of its weight feeling, as in no matter how heavy you load it up it still very easily pitches and rolls. But regardless, if you practice and fly it within parameters then you can take off and land and look very “stable.”
  13. That Ka-50 video was freakin awesome!
  14. Ok I felt like I was too hasty in reporting this so I did further investigation. I loaded up the Mi-8, UH-1, and the Ka-50 all as heavily as I could and tried a loop. The Mi-8 did the same thing that the hind did, and also at 28,000ish lbs: Looped back until upside down and then rotated around to be rotors up as it dove down. So to adjust my post, it's not a "full loop" but rather a sort of immelman that the Mi-24 and Mi-8 are doing. The UH-1 and the Ka-50 (trimmer held or not) both behaved differently to the Mi-8 and Mi-24, but similarly to each other in that once they went vertical the loop stopped and they stalled out and fell down tail first. Both of them naturally swung around to be nose-first in the dive. The UH-1 recovered, the Ka-50 had its rotor blades break off. Obviously it is difficult to model a helo, and especially difficult to model one in flight regimes that basically no one would ever be in. However, the much lighter Huey feels more sluggish in a loop and roll than the heavier Mi-8 and Mi-24.
  15. Track attached. I used the fuel tank preset loadout with full internal fuel and cannon ammo. Weight is 28,799 lbs. I think I did the full on backflip loop at around 240kph. Then once I stabilized at a lower altitude I attempted to do a roll and it did work, but I just needed some more altitude as I bottomed out on the ground and blew up. I'm not a pilot, nor am I an engineer, but I don't think a fully laden Mi-24 should behave this way? Love the helo regardless. Thanks fellas. hindfmtest.trk
  16. I dunno if the devs did a stealth change but last night I did a scan with Pete and he picked up targets in a decent-sized box. However it demonstrates the need for both a scan wide area, and scan point right at the crosshairs. I had a group of four tanks I could see with my eyeballs that I had placed directly in the crosshair. I told Pete to scan right on top of them, right inside my crosshairs. They are the biggest threat and I’m flying directly toward them. he gives me a list of like 10 targets, mostly tanks, that I have no ability to differentiate. Supposedly the highest threat targets are at the topic of the list but when i selected the top tank it picked a tank several Km further in the distance. I had to break off the attack and come back around and just start picking targets in Pete’s list to find my desired targets. While I do want the ability to scan a wide area with Pete, I also want a pinpoint scan option so he will give me a list of whatever is right in my crosshairs. Human multicrew does this all the time. “Target off nose” or “target at 12”. And further more, he needs to be more specific in the location of targets in the list. “APC 11 o’clock far” or something
  17. I noticed this recently that he's missing more.
  18. I keep forgetting POV trim exists dangit. i don’t understand why trim lock would causes nose bump in the hind but not the hip, but I guess I’ll just remember to use the POV trim
  19. With +10 x/y cyclic curves I’m pretty sure I can do all of that ... guess I’d have to make a video though to put my money where my mouth is
  20. I think the inability to autorotate is a damage model WIP issue and is, I assume, a separate issue.
  21. Bump. Tested earlier in multicrew after we updated with new patch. Still had one tailboom separation due to desync in an hour of gameplay. Just fyi.
  22. Reported as fixed Fixed: ASO-2V (countermeasures) desync in multicrew I just tested and I don't believe it's fixed yet. I was in front seat and changed several settings on the countermeasure panel, yet when my pilot would press his pilot countermeasure keybind it always launched the standard configuration of countermeasures. Then when I pressed the front seat launch countermeasure button it recognized the program and launched them correctly as set. Edit: Track too big
  23. Is it coming soon, or not soon? I haven't seen it discussed in awhile and I'm certain I missed the memo lol
