  1. Now those are some great suggestions... Thanks for the help I'm gong to try these out.... ~S~ Blaze
  2. Ok everything's cool here now... I had a loose stick of memory.. It must have come loose when I was pulling out some components.. So I just took the eraser from a pencil and rubbed the memory contacts, cleaned off the residue, and installed them in reverse order.. So it seems to have fixed the instability, every thing seems to be rock solid ... Vista has a screen that shows your set up after you boot up.. I mean this rig was a high end system when I first built it, and 1 gig of ram was alot for its time.. Anyway I was looking at this screen the first time it booted in Vista and all that I saw was 512 memory... so that I guess that was the problem.. :clap_2: Blaze
  3. Well I've finally gotten a 64 bit disk for Vista.. MFG this was no easy task.. But you know my troubles might just be beginning :megalol: I've got it insalled on this very unstable 64 bit AMD system.. Well so far it looks good, its going to take a while to solve all of these issues that I have, but I like it so far... Thank you hitman ... ~S~ Blaze
  4. I tried it but it only helped a little... I think that I might be sitting to far away from the reciever, and I'm going to try and adjust the dead zones.... ~S~ Blaze
  5. Hey Jarhead.. Sure I remember you bro... You know when things get tough the tough get goin' ... I though that you were guaranteed aviation... I guess things have changed a lot in the Croutch over the years.. But I'll bet that a lot of things have stayed the same as well... So since your in, did you think about maybe trying to get into some school when you come back from Hell.. You might be able to become a Marine Pilot.. While I was in I had a Aviation mos.. and worked with a lot of very Squared Away Pilots.. I'm sure that you must have thought about it anyway... Well good luck with your future, and may " God Look Out For Ya' ".... Semper Fi ~S~ Blaze
  6. rattler: A point well taken thanks.. ~S~ Blaze
  7. Yes I'm sure that it is, but I think that were going to have to wait untill they release the new game engine... ~S~ Blaze
  8. That's It ??? Awesome Bro thanks... ~S~ Blaze
  9. While waiting for my new Flaming Cliffs serial number, I've been flying FSX all of the time lately.. After buying this back in October and not being able to fly it because of PC limitations, with my new build I've finally gotten to completed number of the missions successfully. And that's with everything pushed to the high settings (this system rocks)... But I'm finding the Chopper missions to be just about the hardest ones.. Actually I did manage to get through the first one finally... But anyway this post isn't about this entirely.... There seems to be a problem using My TIR 4 Pro.. I've had this for about a year and I guess I still don't really have it adjusted properly.. Things are fine when I'm just flying along, the issues start when I get involved with setting up the Auto Pilot or just generally when I start clicking buttons or turning knobs.. The white hand is far to erratic to actually do anything with.. About the best performance that I can muster is for moving levers and sometimes flicking the landing lights... Now I've posted this issue here on this forum before and have gotten some good feed back for adjusting the light filtering which again works in general flight... But is there an exact science for setting up TIR for precise control adjustments.. I mean a way to steady the device? Which brings me to BS, I have viewed the training videos on preflight setup, and there is quite a lot of instrumentation that has to be set and adjusted.. Now if TIR is acting this way in FSX will there be a problem regarding the same here in BS??? So if there is a precise science to set up TIR so that it will function correctly, could some one explain this in a step by step form of instructions... And taking this into consideration I think that if this does exist it should be included in the set up of Black Shark when it finally does become available for purchase... ~S~ Blaze
  10. Ven: A lot of guys seem to have that problem... And I think I heard some where that candle wax has been used to solve this problem... But the stick isn't that expensive so I guess these little problems are worth dealing with.... ~S~ Blaze
  11. Yeah These screenies are very nicely detailed But I just zoomed in on the scenery and guess what it still looks the same as it did.. :D The same transparent two dimensional trees with the same tenement or project looking buildings with outside tv antennas...:dunno: I guess this is going to be it ..... Anyway to do a fix on this stuff will most likely increase the wait time for a gold release... And we'll probably need the next generation of Star Wars PC to run it.. Lets just get the game without any show stoppers.... Blaze
  12. Lock On's editor is very easy to use but of course there are a lot of things that can stand improvement.. In the visual aspect I think that Forgotten Battles was is by far the best.. Even though its a prop sim, and the aircraft do have that classic look. The art work is superb... The splash screens are just nicely rendered, and look like good quality art.. And there's the moving borders that really add to the feeling that this is a war.. It just makes you think that your actually part of it.... Although Pacific Fighters on the other hand isn't nearly as good, it falls far short of FB..My thoughts are that this was actually rushed out of the door, to coincide with the release Flaming Cliffs... Lock On's mission editor is far easier to use then IL2's but there are a lot of things that need to be addressed here.. I think that besides a need to offer a a dynamic campaign, The window dressing needs to be meet head on and dealt with professionally.. I mean we see these screens every time that we load up for a mission or campaign.. This really is what sets the mood for play.. So shouldn't these be top notch.... Anyway that's what comes to mind, but I'm sure that there are a lot of other things that could be discussed both good and bad.. Its just that I haven't been able to play anything so I'm beginnig to forget, as I'm still waiting for my new serial number :megalol: ~S~ Blaze
  13. Well no I allready have one 8800 gts 640 installed so It's really not that big of a deal to install one more.. Anyway I was just looking at the performace chart and saw that the 8800 gts in SLI and its almost in line with the 8800 ultra in some cases.. I was planning to set up SLI but after seeing this I'm going to do it a lot sooner....:smilewink: ~S~ Blaze YIKES!
  14. What was the case that you ordered ?? Oh and by the way, I'm going to add the BFG 8800 GTS 640 in SLI, very soon.. I'm selling some stuff on e-bay and things are going well so far.. I might even have enough cash to get the XJS Jag.. :megalol: ~S~ Blaze
  15. From what I've heard .. the e6600 has no problems with Black Shark... Don't ask me to reveal my sources on this one.... ~S~ Blaze
  16. I just sent another e-mail... Maybe they didn't contact me yet because I didn't include it with the first one ???? :D Its nice to dream anyway... If you know what I mean.. ~S~ Blaze
  17. The engines look like two Mig 21 type, mounted under the wings ... Is that a close guess ?? I guess I could search for the answer if I have too.. LOL ~S~ Blaze
  18. Right... but these documents are like the cover page.. what about the data that these pages are referring to.. Is it available, and if so from what source?? ~S~ Blaze
  19. Anyway for me I'll have to see what happens in 1 1/2 years from now as I just built my system and it rocks.... But the time frame that I just mention is about the extent that a gaming system will last, anyway.. :music_whistling: But what I'm actually going to do soon, is add another 8800 GTS in SLI.. the above GPU tests shows a distinct advantage in running this... And actually this is the main reason why I just changed motherboards from a Commando to the Asus P5N32-E SLI.. The Commando has no official drivers to run SLI but is actually set up to run ATI Crossfire... I have a BFG 8800 gts 640 at present and I think that in performance as well as price, it was smarter to change the mb rather then the video card... ~S~ Blaze
  20. I've brought this to the attention of my friends at ED... So I'm waiting for Starforce to contact me... If Starforce takes to long, then Ed will I guess contact them to get this issue cleared up.. It's just haveing to wait is what really sucks.. Blaze
  21. Well I did save it but for some reason it doesn't work... As far as buying Flaming Cliffs more then once I think that you can see from my above explaination how this happened.. But at this point I don't really care what happened, I just want to get back to flyin' again... the plain vanilla version of Lock On doesn't even have 6DOF ... :( Blaze
  22. I would like to have Starforce made a little more user friendly or for that matter find another service that works.... ~S~ Blaze
  23. It really does appear that AMD has lost it again to intel ... I used AMD exclusively for years.. But I really want a CPU to overclock as Lock On is CPU intensive .. the DC Duo will OC to 300 GHz in some cases.. and prices are relatively low taking that into consideration... And with the newer intel chips just around the corner intel is putting some distance into their lead... Its not what brand is cool or what gimmick their using that matters. its performance that counts... If AMD was out performing intel I personally would go with it, but its not... http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=35011 AMD LAID OUT a bit more about Barcelona today at MPF, focusing in on six areas. They talked about SSE128, enhanced IPC, efficient memory use, better caches, virtualization and power management. In the macro sense of things, Intel is chasing AMD, but on the micro level, the opposite is true. The talk was given by Ben Sander of AMD, you can read it on his nametag if you don't believe me.
