  1. Hey Brit do you ever sleep man??? :hehe: Everytime I look your posting something, And I know that your about 12 Hrs. ahead of us here in NYC.. ~S~ Blaze
  2. Sorry.....But just no one is doing this anymore. A complete manual shipped with software from Eagle Dynamics hasn't actually been available since Flanker 2.0.. (which incidentally I still have in English, by the way) And that was several years ago. What everyone is now doing is supplying a PDF with the software. If you want a hard copy, it has to be ordered separately and at additional cost.. Blaze
  3. I'm not that concerned about haveing to install a new CPU if it's needed... But I've read that BS shouldn't really require that much more processing power.. We'll just have to wait and see how the FPS are affected after the release.. Anyway constant upgrades is part of the flight sim hobby.. If you can't affored that then maybe you should think about getting a different hobby. :dunno: Blaze
  4. Actually I have a pretty good handle on this mission, I've flown it several times and found it to be one of the easy ones.. Its the Accelerator chopper missions that I'm still working on.. These are somewhat harder. And I just got the addon a few days ago, but I'm sure that I can master them with a little more time.. From what you explained about the FM for BS and it sounds to me like this should be way more fun to fly once you get the basics down. The Ka-50 must have a lot more control... Blaze
  5. The IL2 FB mission editor works around a similar idea.. If you're wounded for example in enemy territory you can fly back to a certain prearranged distance from the battle line and bail.. this pulls a trigger in the editor that puts you back in the war at a later time.. And when you start the next mission the editor generates a note in the start up screen that tells you that you've been wounded in combat and have spent a certain amount time at the hospital and have returned back to combat and are assigned to a certain unit and are flying a specific type of aircraft.. This I find to be very immersive and makes the campaign a lot more interesting. ~S~ Blaze
  6. More screenies?? Actually I dont care, what I'd like to see is the Gold... Blaze
  7. OK.. This is what the Cougar Control Panel looks like when you open it up on your desk top.. The blue box across from the throttle now has an plus. To reverse the throttle you just have to click on it and it will change to a minus. Next you click on the green lock that's just to the right of the word throttle which is now in the open position and it will lock. You then click the Apply Button which will load the instruction and reset the Cougar Throttle. And that's it your ready to take the Chopper out for a test run ... ~S~ Blaze
  8. Yes... I've been flying the choppers out in FSX as well. I just recently installed Accelerator which has some additional choppers included. The models in FSX are the Robertson R22 Beta II, AgustaWestland EH 101 and the Bell 206B JetRanger III... I've reversed my Cougar throttle axis, and I'm using it like a collector which works nicely I might add. I really have to say that the FM for Choppers in FSX is extremely difficult. So I would also like to hear from someone that's flown FSX and BS and what the differences in the FM are by comparison. I've found that MS's FM aren't allways as realistic as they could be. I'm hopeing that the Ka-50 in BS is a little easier to fly then the Choppers in FSX.. ~S~ Blaze
  9. Its seems that there are very few Flight Sim Guys here in the NYC area... It's a pity as Id love to go downtown to the Javits center or somewhere like that to see something on this scale. Its really out of the question for me to actually go to Europe at this time. Hopefully some day this will happen in my neighborhood.. ~S~ Blaze
  10. I'm betting that they haven't made a descision on this yet..:smilewink: ~S~ Blaze
  11. I have the Simped Varios as well.. I"ve never had any issues with them  But then you get what you pay for.. Blaze
  12. Oh Sorry... I just noticed the other thread
  13. I thought as much..This must be just one of the issues that's holding up the DCS launch. But I still think that once all of the problems are sorted out that Eagle should release some sort of separate tutorial. This should help to simplify all of the new data that well need to absorb. The learning curve should become relatively simpler after the initial release. ~S~ Blaze
  14. There seem to be number of threads popping up all over the internet concerning the New Editor. Unfortunately there really isn't much overall detail available. I know that you guys at Eagle are very busy getting the DCS series ready for prime time. But I did see the new Cold Start Video that you recently added and the Systems Modeling Manual . These are top notch and are extremely helpful in becoming familiar with the Ka-50. I personally don't like multi player, I prefer to fly off line. From what I have deduced by reading the articles that are presently available concerning the New Mission Editor, it will allow you to create missions that are dynamic (scripting capabilities). In other words when flying missions in a campaign each mission will be affected by the previous mission flown. And the outcome of the Campaign will be affected by all of the combined missions. Also damage that incurred in a mission will carry over to the next mission. Is this correct? And since we have new tutorials could Eagle consider releasing a tutorial video or instruction manual to let us become familiar with this very important tool as well. ~S~ Blaze
  15. And also you can set the antenna axis on the Cougar Throttle to use as a rudder. ~S~ Blaze
  16. Happy birthday United States Marines!!!! Semper Fi, carry on ~S~ Blaze
  17. I actually have Cubby's Hall mod installed in my Cougar throttle. I did the modification about 2 tears ago and have had no problems what so ever. As far as using a pipe with controls added on? I'm certainly not even going to consider that route. another good thing about the Cougar is that you can simulate a collector. You can actually reverse the axis very easily by just changing the settings in the the control panel. This can be accomplished prior to loading up the game.. As far as which Hall sensor Cubby uses, I've heard of other guys trying find them without much success. Why dont you contact him directly, it wouldn't hurt to ask. Blaze
  18. Yes I agree completely.. AMD is old school, Intel is the one to beat at this point in time.. You have to really check out performance ratings before you buy something ..Go to Tom's Hardware to mention just one, AMD was the leader but not any more... Blaze
  19. Your question was already asked and answered there.. A new DM is not an option at this time but they will do something with it in the one of the preceding moduals, according to EB... Also we might see an improved DM here in Lock On also, I'm thinking that this could be developed by the Sim Mod team? But I'm not sure. Do you need access to the code to get something like this to work? I'm wondering if the S/M team has access, well maybe not... But as Eagle stated, DCS will have it some time in the future.. ~S~ Blaze
  20. Thanks Matt for takeing the time to brind us up todate.. These ideas are way beyound anything that I expected to see... The fact that Eagle is planning on possibly useing new mods to compliment Lock On as well DCS is some outstanding out of the box thinking... I also see a picture of the FA-18 in the DCS header graphics...:music_whistling: Ummmm!!! this is indeed getting interesting .. ~S~ Blaze
  21. I've heard from some reliable sources that they are taking that idea into consideration... ~S~ Blaze
  22. Actually, its a matter of personal preference here Budd.. I'm running 2 BFG 8800's in SLI.. I get very sharp clear renderings with this setup... ~S~ Blaze
  23. Without a doubt that is the best one that I've seen here..... Blaze
