Need some help. I for the life of me cannot get an airfield, carrier or refueling tanker to respond to me unless I an in the “refueling practice “ or “carrier landing” practice missions. I have tried manually tuning jester, dialing in frequency myself ect and nothing. I have srs running but obviously this uses the drop down menu. This is specifically for the f14 as its the only thing I fly currently. I can talk just fine on srs and intercom but realize its a different deal. Im sure its me. What am I missing? Already tried a search, no luck. Maybe my next search will be how to make the search function work. Thanks in advance

Is the G13 easy to config? My keyboard does some macros but only 5. I have plenty of buttons on my hotas but really need to configure coms and Dcs won’t allow it currently. Thanks

That is so strange! Makes me Wonder what will happen when I log back on. Flew 3 or 4 times Over the weekend. Caveat being always mp. Haven’t gone back to sp in a while.

Well since we are leaving the door wide open. I ran similar test as in “example 1”? On my old pentium 1 and yes, it stutters. Will randomly pick some other machines and configurations later to assist with your well documented research...

Yeah, its crazy how these things seem to have a mind of their own! What works for some, not for others. I know zip really about anything other than the basics. I will tell you that before the sc came out, I was having pretty good results but read a post about turning in game pd way down, and stream resolution slider way up (and I have headset set for 90). I think I’m at like 275 ish? Anyway, the “double vision” as I call it where it looks great until a fast flyby, then you get 2 planes smeared has gone. And still runs 45 fps. So I wonder if the pc is somehow dropping that “interpolated” frame leaving the screen blank? Dunno, wish I could help others because it’s frustrating for sure .

I have a drivers ed manual that says “drive the speed limit “ yet can provide you with literally thousands of pictures that show people not following that rule. I believe several people have shown you the “proof” that you somehow need, yet many will show you that there are hundreds of examples of that not happening. You keep asking for proof, as have others in similar threads and are obviously not happy with the answer. I would suggest that you will have to find something else to be “right “ about if it will make you and your friends get along better....

I had that in the index. Turned off msaa, deleted fxo and Meta. Loaded in and it was gone so, Turned Msaa back on, rebooted, hasn’t happened since. This seems to work for some, not for other’s

I believe there is. Try selecting a different map? Can’t remember exactly but I did some practice before I switched from The Nintendo to the F14. Hope that helps!

Interesting that I noticed my vram at 85% when I was prepping for a flight so I said “no way” turned everything including the pc off and rebooted. Got back to same MP server at 60 65%. Something going on there but way over my head.

Honestly having never flown DCS with a monitor (so not hooked on 4k graphics) I can say that it was one of the few “holly crap!! Moments I have had in my later adult life.(kinda like the first time flying a girl without your glove!) Takes an already great experience and elevates it to something beyond description. Yet, it takes a whole lot of pc and futzing, but from what I can tell there are at least a few 2D guys constantly futzing to so it’s tolerable. You won’t be sorry if you can put up with its flaws!

Pfft... Save some money and buy your own damn computer. Nobody owes you an explanation or anything for that matter as to what they run. Just remember, entry level computer, entry level performance. High end computer, high...er, better level performance. Sheesh dude....

All good, no worries! So my settings In game Msaa 2x Pd .7 Stream Resolution per eye 360 90hz refresh I originally had the issue. Turned msaa to off. Loaded the carrier in mp. Logged out. Turned msaa back to 2 x. All better and frames 45-50 ish. No blinking

I flipped off Msaa, loaded in, closed out. Turned msaa back on, runs fine. Strange

Just flew for an hour. No return of the flashing tower on the new SC Very strange but happy with 45-55 fps performance.

I will go back in later today and see if it held or comes back. Standby

I switched off msaa rebooted then turned it back on. No more flashing

Certainly wasn’t “already known” to me. Thanks for the tip, will give it a try!

Sorry if its a duplicate On super carrier deck, if I look at super structure I get flashing black Outs from eye to eye. 50 fPS. Flying everything is great, just on deck and looking at tower. Deleted fxo and shaders, no mods and In f14 in sp or mp. On the Index btw. Seems in the past the flashing black screen thing came up but I can’t find anything Thanks!

Not at all being that guy but my performance after today’s release runs better with higher settings and more FPS than it ever has. I gave up on OB and has 2.55 pretty well optimized. The new OB blows it away performance wise. Maybe repair or reinstall?? Again, not rubbing it in but improvements are drastic. Good luck!

Used it today both Sp and Mp. 3 hrs not a single crash with excellent frame rates without changing anything. Only issue I am having is when I look at the island I get a “black strobe” flashing from eye to eye. Goes away when I look away. Frame rates stay over 45. In the F14 with my index. Don't even know where to start . Everything else works fantastic!

Apparently, I know I do my best to run a topic search before asking a question that may offend one of the professional pilots on board but usually give up in frustration and just ask. Perhaps as well as being an awesome pilot and really nice guy your a search engine expert. Maybe start a sticky... And no, I didn’t vote for you I voted for the other guy....
