Quest 2 cameras are IR, not regular cameras, so no color and poor resolution, you dont want to look at your MFD with that -
Theres something about digital screens that is broken, in certains conditions when you turn on some kind of FLIR/TGP/Skhval it kills the performance, it happen to for Tomcat radar

I have no problems reading all symbols on Viper (on Hornet is way easier) MFD, even without having to get closer. I can even read without problem almost all lables on Tomcat cockpit -
I used CAS over ReShade prior to V33, once i tried V33 Link Sharpening, well, i don´t ReShade now

If you fly VR shaders doesnt needs to compile in VR. What i do is run DCS on 2D and start a server with a Through Inferno mission, selecting the mission to start without clients and let it run -
Nah, i think the sharpening level is spot on, great work from Oculus team

MSAA will gives you less aliased image at the cost of some blurry, sharpening from oculus gives you better clarity and more aliased picture. Im surprised you NOW turn off MSAA, in any case you will need more. P.D: i have V33 too

People want everything, ED just can´t satisfy everyone around here. While i think it´s a matter of time that some version of UH-60 or C-130 to appear i don´t think an S-3 or AH-6 (i would love this) has the enough interest to be a profitable investment, at the end of the day ED is a business. And please, no more assets packs the way we have right now, make it like SuperCarrier, you still can join a mission with it but not make use of it or make it part of DCS core (free) -
You can, using a BAT file to launch DCS. I use a BAT to launch DCS to load TARGET script, set DCS and Oculus priority to high and set custom FOV and ASW on Oculus

My cross only fade out if you are idle some seconds AND you are looking inside the cockpit, if once faded out you look outside it appears again, if you are idle looking outside it doesnt fade out

I always thought that a great, simple, solution is, like Starcraft II has, a drop menu with scenes of modules you have installed (like how the background works) and with an option of blank screen -

I dont know you get good results setting at 30hz ASW with 90hz. That way is supposed you get two interpolate frames from every real frame and if, aiready with 45hz you get some graphics glitches from ASW things just gets way worse whith 30hz. I get WAY better results with 45hz -

If you change on Oculus it will affect to all your games, if DCS only DCS os affected, performance must be the same

nVidia user here You can, you just have to use OpenComposite, which is a bypass to run SteamVR API over Oculus without running SteamVR, getting a better performance, you have to launch the DCS with SteamVR API, if you have standalone, add --force_steam_VR to launch options. Here you have OpenComposite, you just have to overwrite OpenVR DLL on DCS Bin folder: OpenComposite Download Is what i use and works flawesly @RoboHackfeld maybe you want to try these settings: Oculus PC software: - 90 Hz - PD 1.6 (just one step before max) Oculus Debug Tools or TryTools - Encode resolution: 3920 (you have to type it) - Encode bitrate: 500 - 45hz (ASW enabled) - PD 0 (if not 0 this will sum to Oculus PC Software PD) DCS - Traffic: low - Textures: high - Ground textures: high - Water: medium - Range: high - Shadows: high - Heatblur: low - MSAA: 2x - SSAA: off - SSLR: off - Motion blur: off - DOF: off - AF: 8x - Ground shadows: Plain - Tree range: 80% - Preload: 75000 - Tree detail: 0.8 - Structure detail: 0.8 - Waterdrop: on - Cockpit global illumination: on - Grass: 1000 - VR PD: 1.0 This with the use of OpenComposite and Reshade CAS to correct colors and add sharpness gets me great detail and 45 fps (90 with ASW). About encode glitches, i get almost no glitches but i have to say that prior to upgrade 1080ti to 3080ti i get much more graphic glitches but, as expected, once i installed 3080ti almost fixed that cause encoder on RTX 30 are better than the one on GTX 10, maybe the encoders on RDNA2 are more like GTX 10 ones

On last flights with friends online i feel that when i am on RIO seat game runs way worse than on pilot seat or any other plane. Yesterday, on air refueling practice instant mission over Caucasus i was monitoring render time, while on pilot seat i get 10ms when i jump to RIO it keeps changing fast from 10ms to 15ms if radar are on or standby, if i set off games runs the same as pilot, 10ms. Is this normal behavior? I think is logical that render screen takes some performance but so much?

I can accept that if: 1. Game engine doesn´t make use of a more than 10 years old graphic API (DirectX 11) 2. Game engine make use of CPU technology avalible since more than 15 years (Multi core CPUs) 3. Game engine doesn´t have serious issues with RAM/VRAM usage (you can try to convince me that a 17gb VRAM usage reported from some 3090 users for DCS in any graphic setting is logical) 4. Game doens´t stutter even if your GPU usage are at 60%, maybe due to a poor implementation of data disk streaming 5. Etc I don´t expect from ED that they make DCS runs on Reverb G2 and RTX 1060 at 90 fps with maxed settings, just the game engine catch up today (or even yesterday) hardware posibilities that can make it way more efficient. The big problem of DCS is that the engine "looks" so inefficient that if they try to enhance on others areas like IA the performance will be worse. Anyway, i love DCS and ED and they have all my support, thats for sure. -
Unafortunately you can´t use OpenComposite and FSR at the same cause the dll you have to change to make it work it´s the same for both. If some cant make a OpenComposite DLL mod with the FSR code that will be a win

FSR mod only works via SteamVR so you have to launch DCS in SteamVR API, add "--force_steam_VR" to your launch options

If i remember correctly the main problem is Link/AirLink (aka PCVR) still lacks of hand track support

I dont think that to make VR have a better performance 2D side must suffer from it, i just think that the problemas we see on VR are there on 2D, just that VR need so much resources that make it more visible. I love DCS, 95% of my playtime is on DCS, the reason to upgrade my current rig is DCS, i have VR HMD due to DCS... But i´m starting to hate DCS due to VR and, for me, theres no going back to 2D. I know ED has to make money with a constant module development, i have planes that i almost not flown and i don´t regret cause at least it was money that goes to DCS but DCS engine is already a monster and or ED team make focus and spent a good (huge) amount of resources on engine or it will turn the monster that kill DCS/ED. Theres no way, due the nature of DCS, that we are on 2021 and still theres no multithreading and the worst is that theres no news about it (or Vulkan) since 2021 roadmap release. I don´t want new modules or maps, just a complete revamp of DCS core.
