Nice vid. Well done and informative.

@Speed You are a mission editor God! :)

Black Shark all the way. It is a killer lurking in the weeds waiting for the opportunity to pop up and make the kill.

Make sure when you go into the "controls" section of the options menu, the window is set to "Ka-50 sim." The simulation has a tendency to be in "Free Camera" when you first open up the "controls section." Check that out.

Getting Standing Vehicle Groups To Move
enigma6584 replied to enigma6584's topic in User Created Missions General
Thanks. That gives me a good reference to start from. I've been reading up on the mission editor and I think I'm starting to understand it better. -
Gents, I'm having a bit of a dense period with my brain in that I cannot figure out how the heck to get vehicle groups to stop while enroute for however much then move again. Can anyone show me the light? Perhaps a spark will go off in my head.

DCS: Black Shark radio systems modeling
enigma6584 replied to EvilBivol-1's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Great Info! Thanks. Love the depth of this fantastic sim! -
Yes Stratos. When you want to communicate with the Tower of the airfield you are at, you must put in the frequency of that Tower in the radio control panel on your left hand panel. Look at pages 174-175 of the manual. Those little orange wheels rotate and the numbers change to what you put in them. Put the Tower frequency in. Now use communication menu and talk to Tower. Also, when you start a mission in single player, the default setting on the radio is (I think 127.5), remember that number or what-ever number is in there because that is the frequency you will use to talk to your wingman. When you take off and no longer need to talk to Tower, you switch that frequency on the radio to 127.5 in order to be able to give commands to your wingman and hear him over the radio. When approaching back to the airport for landing, put in the frequency for the tower.

Yes, thank you ED and Happy Holidays to you and your families.

Ah...okay. I saw some of those posts but was unsure exactly what was happening. I think I have it solved now. Thanks.

Will some one kindly point me in the direction as to how I load up a lua profile correctly in game? When I installed the patch, I made sure to save my lua control inputs profile in another place on my hard drive in order to load it later so I wouldn't have to reinvent it. I'm having problems. I load my lua profile and it seems my assignments are all screwed up.

Recorded tracks having different outcome
enigma6584 replied to Madman777's topic in Bugs and Problems
I really, really wish ED would fix the track playback issue. I've tried now for some time to make a neat little movie of my flights but to no avail because of the reasons initially stated by madman777. You can't do anything with those tracks. Want a good example of superb playback and video editing? Look at Rise of Flight's Flight Recorder. It is just beautiful to use...and it works. Okay, off my bitch session now. -

Buildings in Vehicle section
enigma6584 replied to STP Dragon's topic in User Created Missions General
Oh yes they shoot.:) I saw them in the mission editor myself and set up a test mission where I created a tiny little village which was being assaulted by infantry. They buildings shot at the infantry assaulting and took an entire platoon out while themselves being relatively unharmed. As I added tanks and IFVs to the assault force the buidlings then took casaulties. Was pretty cool. Now we can build missions with proper urban warfare taking place for which our player controlled aircraft can now participate in...including our AI wingmen. -

@MadTommy LOL...then I guess we'll agree to disagree. I read that statement you quoted above as implying player controlled aircraft only pair with player controlled aircraft in multiplayer. In order to build a possible flight of 4 aircraft in multiplayer for the human player, you must separate them into four distinct airgroups. This allows for flexibility as to how many players you have playing at any one time. I see nothing implying that AI wingmen are to be included in your flight. This has been this way as far back as the old LOCKON. In all my years playing this series, including going online with many people, I personally have never seen a flight in multiplayer made up of one player aircraft and several other AI wingmen.

I play with everything on "high" except water which is set to "medium." I have mirrors turned on, grass and forests turned to the middle of the slide setting. I get about 35-45 fps normally and under certain battle conditions have seen it go as low as 22. This is all from in the cockpit view.

Black Shark 2: NVG view gets messed up as mission progresses.
enigma6584 replied to XarBat's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just goes to show you how passionate people are about this fantastic sim.:smilewink::D -
I agree...that is the point. In the GUI manual, it says basically not to do that...I can't remember page reference right now. Each wingman is supposed to be another human being in multiplayer and you set that up as if you were setting up 4 single player routes.
-
Again, it is in the GUI manual where they talk about setting up and making multiplayer missions. It is not recommended to do what you are doing.
