  1. 159th Server updated as well. Nice list of updates, specially like the Mi-8 ones. But then again, i'm biased.:joystick: BTW, anyone know if the clamshell doors of the Mi-8 are supposed to be synchronised in multiplayer? (open/close position's) And if not, if this is a feature that will be added later? Have you tried running it as administrator? Any errors being thrown your way when running it?
  2. Only if your CPU is the bottleneck. If your limited (like me) by your graphics card, overclocking your CPU won't help much. I have an Radeon 6950 card btw, and its bottlenecking my CPU big time. (4770) CPU usually doesn't come above 70% for any core when playing DCS. GFX is usually maxed out though. (90 to 100 % load)
  3. While where on the subject of stealth, hearth the following somewhere and it sounds plausible. Apparently, the French now use a different kind of radar that instead of relying on the radar waves being reflected by an object. They depend on radar waves being reflected by the atmoshpere, then when an stealth plane fly's trough, this reflection gets disturbed and can be measured. Guess it works similar to finding objects by looking for deviations in the earth's magnetic field. (used in anti submarine warfare i believe) Anyone knows if the above is actually true or just a theory?
  4. Yes you can, please mind though, i did NOT make the script as it is now. Only a very simplified version of it. The current script was made by 159th_Ajax To pick up a group of units that was dropped of previously; Go to the radio menu again and hit F3 description says something whit evacuees. Then you get a text message that a group is popping smoke if your close enough. (i think you can also pick em up directly if you remember where they are, not sure though) Land next to the group, not sure how close ya need to be, then hit F10, F1 for load troops then F5 i think it is for evacuees. Also, be creative whit your drops, try to give mortar teams a good line of sight. (which i failed at here unfotunately.) As for weight, not currently implemented. But i believe ED is working on an script function that allows you to add weight. Would be nice when combined to these troopdrop scripts.
  5. Dropped a Mortar team in a Squad Flight, unfortunately the actual mortars ended up just behind the ridge, obscured from a good view of the battle area...... Unfortunately i had forgotten to open the clamshell doors, would have looked a bit nicer whit the shot. (the town on my 1o clock and a wide area around it)

  8. Didn't read the whole thread, but you guys are aware of the option under the special tab of each airframe called; "use central position trimmer mode" ? Cause if for one AC its on and the other its off you will see different system behaviour. I have all AC set to the same setting here and they all trim the same in game.
  9. 159th server has this enabled on a couple missions. How it works. Well, it makes use of the radio menu, brought up on the ground by pressing / Or while flying by pressing Lctrl / Then chose the F10 option (other) Then F1 or F2 (drop menu i believe its called) Now you get 4 more options; F1 Load Troops F2 Unload Troops (or evacuees) F3 Mark Loading Zone F4 Mark Drop Zone (where applicable, most missions you can drop troops anywhere) When you hit F1 form the above menu, you have a couple options between different kinds of infantry. Paratroopers Infantry Manpad team possibly others You must be inside a loading zone to be able to load the troops. There's also an option somewhere to mark evacuees. for this to work you need to be within an certain range of an previously dropped group. They will then pop smoke and an text message will appear whit a heading and distance. Think your able to find out the rest yourself now that you know how the basics work.

Really it aint rocket science. (even i understand it)
  11. Would like to know this as well before submitting more reports Question, does your server enable Combined Arms? My first and so far only crash in multiplayer was whit combined arms. Not 100% sure but i believe i was trying to add a target to a group of units consisting of various infantry and mortars. (spawned whit a troop drop script btw.)
  12. Bump, is this issue confirmed/reported/solved yet? Depending on the airframe there can be a fair number of key binds requiring the windows keys.

  16. Unless its being overlapped by an Red Air Defense Zone. Which seems to be the case in the video. To test, go into the mission editor and place an KA-50 somewhere over the Black Sea. Set it either as client or player, and take her out for a spin. Let us know what color the sea has on the Abris now.
  17. Just to confirm, they are working in windows right? For example to bring the start menu up.
  18. Very nice idea for an mission. Lets hope we (you) can make it even better once the winch is operational on the Huey and Mi-8.

  20. Did you download the .exe for the Mi-8 from the store before the patch was released? If so you need to download it again, cause your current installer is outdated.

  23. Finally, you guys dropped 32 bits support.:thumbup: Best news so far. Also been able to fly online for over 3 hrs without crashes. (was some warping after mission rotation, solved when user exited and relaunched the game)
