Another thing you may want to do is set an curvature on the rudder. I find it to be VERY senstive, specially for the small but fast corrections required upon take-off.
-
curious about this as well.
-
That's what this community is all about Mizzy. And don't forget, plenty of fun can be had on online servers without ever firing a single round. On one server for example they have an air race set up, including personal lap times. Much fun.!

Agree. though having a free aircraft, even a trainer may proof beneficial in the future. Like the 25T is for DCS World. ***EDIT*** Also, Point number four is important. The longer you wait the smaller change you will have. You may want to think about changing the goals etc, but Paypal is pretty much guaranteed to be a succes. Implement it NOW, don't wait till tomorrow cause it will be to late.

A standard payment card would only work if it is an credit card as well. Which at least in NL is definitely NOT standard.
-
Don't have any really good idea's other then; Accept Paypal!!! Even if it only gives you an additional 10% in pledges that alone is already; 12.000$ Which i think is on the very conservative side given the fact that a LOT of people don't have a credit card. And anno 2013, in the aftermath of the economic crises, it sure has not got easier to get one either. So really, accept paypal and you WILL see an significant influx in pledges. Make sure to announce it everywhere though, and make sure its impossible to miss. Cause people won't pay for something they don't know they can pay for.

'622' 762mm causes serious slowdown
159th_Falcon replied to Offlinepilot's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
possibly also Higher rate of fire on the 7.62mm? Anyway, also getting this slow down. Then again, you would normally not fire the pods for such long times. Still, even when firing bursts, there is a very noticeable impact on frame rates. Hoping that Belsimtek will try and improve on this. (or ED, as long as its improved) -
Belsimtek, please DO NOT TOUCH the windows. I like em as they are, not to noticeable when just flying about, but depending on lighting you will see some imperfections in the glass. Awesome work, well done, and please, DO NOT CHANGE it.

possibly. But its more likely that there all active and "share the load" Meaning that if the total power consumption of the AC system is 99 watts then; Inverter 1 inverts 33 watts Inverter 2 inverts 33 watts Inverter 3 inverts 33 watts If one fails, the other two automaticly start supplying the required power. At least, that what i think happens. No real life Mi-8 experience so could be wrong.
-
Rectifiers change AC (alternating current) to DC (Direct Current) This is needed to power systems working on DC, and to charge the batteries. What systems in the Mi-8 work on AC and which work on DC i do not know. But i'm sure that someone will come along to tell us. (inverters do the opposite, change DC from for example a battery, to AC)

[REPORTED] Fw 190 Cockpit Bar! (answer Post #173)

Agree, we don't need the sight to see if the bar is represented correctly. -
[REPORTED] Fw 190 Cockpit Bar! (answer Post #173)
159th_Falcon replied to Krupi's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Ok from what i can see and read there indeed seems to be an inaccuracy to some extend. Now the question becomes, how much exactly, and how should it be correct/is it best corrected. Does "The Fighter Collection" have an FW 190? Would make it easier to fix now that the team knows what to look for. -
[REPORTED] Fw 190 Cockpit Bar! (answer Post #173)
159th_Falcon replied to Krupi's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Would you guys mind pointing out what "bar" your on about???? Haven't seen anything resembling a "bar" either in provided photo's, screenshots, or the video around 7:00 If you think there is an issue it might be worth it to clearly explain what the issue is. Instead of saying, "the bar". -
DCS WWII: Europe 1944 Non-Official Trailer # 3
159th_Falcon replied to Charly_Owl's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Awesome thank's. How could i ever forget that video. -
No i cant, and the reason that the high octane fuel is not modelled has nothing to do whit balance. But whit time. And as said before, if you give one plane the option of alternate fuel types, then all should have it. Cause a different fuel means a significant change in performance for any aircraft, not just the P-51.
-
Besides, all current aicraft in the sim can run on a variety of fuels, well there real life counterparts can. For non of em you can select which you want to use, so why add that feature just for the P-51? If you do it, do it for all planes and all possible options. Which is a rather time consuming task and has a huge possibility of messing up the rest of the simulation big time.

DCS WWII: Europe 1944 Non-Official Trailer # 3
159th_Falcon replied to Charly_Owl's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Awesome video, to bad i can't fund the project due to i have no credit card. BTW, where did you find Panzertards Famous utterings like "damn that was close" And, "hang on Panzer..." -
Nice specs, shame you also bought an kingston SSD though. Relative to other brands there slow(er) while equally expensive for a given amount of storage. Still, any SSD is a great improvement over an HDD. That system should run DCS quite well.

Good idea, could include the log files, crash file and .trk as well if under a certain filesize. May very well be worth to implement, a long whit an optional commentary box for the user to put in anything specific he was doing at the time of the crash. I like that idea. Hopefully ED does to.

Are not being recognised by DCS all of a sudden. They worked fine 2 days ago, since yesterday they stopped working in DCS. Any other application and windows desktop they work just fine. I have not installed any software, nor made alteration to the game since 2 days ago. Anyone has an idea what the problem might be? When i check it in controls and then modifiers the keys are listed though. And in modifiers.lua the switch value is set to "false" for all modifiiers, which should be correct. I'm also running the game as an administrator, so that can't be the problem either. Hope you guys have some good ideas on this issue, now i'm stuck learning the start up procedure of the hip.:book:

Thank's for the tips everyone. And now you mention it i had read about that issue a while ago whit the W8 clock. Nothing about a fix though....... Anyway, seems my issue is resolved WITHOUT replacing the battery. When i took it out i noticed the under side being quite dull and had some small discolored places as well. (blue/greenish) Took a piece of cloth whit some Isopropyl Alcohol, wiped the battery down and installed at again. Set the clock to the correct time and shut down the system and disconnected the power lead of the PSU from the wall socket. After a goods night sleep i booted the system up again, and the time was spot on. Now, what that contamination on the underside of the battery was i have no idea, but simply cleaning it seems to have solved the problem. Ill make sure to update this thread if it comes back though. Again, thank's for the help everyone.

Its a brand new mobo. So kind of strange the CMOS battery would be flat. Ill send the store an e-mail about the issue and buy a new battery as well. Don't think its worth it to send an mobo away over a 2 $ part that's easily replaced.

Ok, i just got some new hardware and i have the wierdest issue i've seen so far on PC hardware. The clock is going slower then it should. For example, at 1400hrs i set it to 1400 hrs. Its now 1440 and system clock is indicating 1428 Meaning its 12 minutes behind???? WTH? As said new system hardware specs; Hasswell 4770 Kingston HyperX RAM 16GB ASUS Z87A motherboard Samsung 840 SSD's One 128 GB Pro and One 256GB Evo And i also got my old Radeon 6950 GFX card installed All running a 2 day old installation of Win8 64 Bit fully updated, including all the drivers. Any idea's? Oh, and there's another time related issue, when i shut down the system and shut off the power as well. (like disconnected from the power socket) And i turn the computer back on, system time is still at the time it was when i shut it down????? Off to work, running late due to this.:helpsmilie:
