  1. SU-25 and SU-25T are both very capable platforms. SU-25 fills a more specific role in the CAS department SU-25T can fill roles such as SEAD/DEAD/CAS and others, at a cost of having extra avionics, bigger fuel tanks, overall more weight and thus less maneuverability.
  2. PilotMi8 What's the key combination for putting the cyclic rigging pins in?:D ***EDIT*** oops, double post, hit the wrong button.
  3. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WHIT THE HUEY MODEL INGAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do we need to spell it out for you? As long as you keep drawing reference lines to the wrong parts of the helicopter, you will get very varying results for the angle of the rotor shaft. First thing you would need to do know is find an UH-1H Maintenance Manual and look for ATA chapter 6 "Dimensions and Areas". As well as the figures regarding to water, buttock and station lines. When done come back and say you were wrong, cause basically that's what the official manual is going to tell you. And yes, Rammit is right. We should thank you for bringing this (no existent) issue up, cause now we got some new MI-8 screenshots.
  4. Please, not again this stuff. Yes, a main rotor mast is tilted forward on pretty much any helicopter. Though when the helicopter is on the ground, rotor stopped or turning. Things may look different. Please just keep in mind that the rotor mast is tilted forward in relation to the helicopters waterline. Which itself may well be titled backward when the helicopter is standing on the ground. No way of knowing without consulting the manual. And agree whit Alpha 1 6 here, controls are only at neutral whit rigging pins in. And even then there can be exemptions. Besides that, controls "neutral" could very well result in an control input, its just an reference from the manufacturer for when work is done on the flight control system. And as such, is unique to every helicopter.
  5. Nice sites, still don't get why the helicopters don't show up though. They most certainly have the required hardware onboard. (mode-S transponder) Believe its an mandatory requirement even. Could it be because they are flying outside of controlled airspace?
  6. How about an Mil Mi-12 ???:music_whistling: (115 ton MTOW i believe?)
  7. Just had an "dechavu" Believe basically the same thread was made a year ago orso regarding the same issue. Interesting to see what we get to hear this time round.
  8. That video deserves its own thread, amazing how well synchronized it is between the two. I'd say its a draw though, the KA-50 is a bit more crisp and precise, but also has an active stability system that the UH-1H lacks. Also the pilot has most likely put more hours in the shark then the huey. So I'm calling it a draw.
  9. What aircraft does this apply to? All russian fighters? Or only a specific one. Or maybe the KA-50? Also, could you make a screenshot showing the HMD in the wrong place and maybe add a circle or something whit paint to show us where you think it should be? Don't use the HMD all that often myself so no idea if its a game issue or something or your machine.
  10. Seems like your off to a decent start there Janko. Specially considering its your first real project. Good luck and maybe (hopefully) we end up whit yet another player controllable aircraft.
  11. Both skhval and AP have there limits. Though, both are separate and completely unrelated. Altitude and Speed should not be an issue. What happens if you replicate all conditions in which the skhval loses lock, except now you don't select the 500Kr? If it stops could be either two things, * a bug * a feature, skhval is now limited to the gimbal limits of the bomb?
  12. Nice, but is there some kind of minimum altitude for airplanes to show up? Not getting any helicopters over the north sea, even though its a busy place due to off-shore crew changes. Anyone has an idea as to why they don't show up?
  13. Actually no it won't. Remember PeterP posting somewhere that DCS is limited to a max resolution supported by DX9. If i remember right it was something like 8000*8000 Found it, see; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1784926&highlight=dx9+resolution#post1784926 Max Ress would be 8192 x 8192
  14. Rofl, good one.:megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol: Rep inbound
  15. Might be an idea to wait for something like the DCS FC F-15C or SU-27S if all you wan't is hop into a fighter every now and then. And yes, A-10A is a direct port from FC3. But the added an AFM, no idea how good or bad it is, since i never play it. However, if you buy FC3 then you get the A10A whit AFM as well.
  16. Assuming they is Vikhr; is a lot faster is far more resistant to jamming/countermeasures then other missiles. Can carry more of them, and have spare pylons for whatever else you need.
  17. No idea what's going on, but this version of the game is VERY unstable. And don't you dare commanding ground units around in multiplayer. instand CTD.
  18. What information are you looking for? If you bought the SU-25 as a seperate module, you should be able to find the manual in; /dcs world/mods/aircraft/su-25/doc if its a part of FC3; /dcs world/mods/aircraft/flaming cliffs/doc you can also have a look in the SU-25T manual as many of the steam gauges are similar. /dcs world/mods/aircraft/su-25T/doc
  19. First civvie aircraft is already here more or less. UH-1H Huey. Just have to wait for the slick version and give it a new paint job. The next is coming, MI-8MTV2. Same applies really. Then, i am quite certain that there are some privately owned and flown MIG-21's as well. One of the third parties is making an L-39 i believe, used a lot in civil aviation. So why is the step to Cessna's and smaller passenger jets so problematic? Its money in the bank for ED, which can then focus on making an awesome F-18 for us. Followed by whatever is next.
  20. See; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94397&highlight=flaps+gear In my quoted post is a link to my X52PRO profile.
  21. Maybe they just adjusted the size and shape of shadows to correspond better whit the angle of the sun vs the angle of the helicopter? BTW, when i was aboard some flights in various helicopters, i have never noticed shadows from the blades on its own airframe whit the rotor turning. Though, that may also be cause the weather over here sucks and its always cloudy.:D
  22. No worries if you can't fly and shoot targets like this. Attempting so in any mission will get you shot pretty fast. As for proper use on the AP. don't use it for this kind of flying as its useless for that. Instead just make sure that the 3 blue SAS buttons are on. (heading, pitch and roll i believe there called) Hold the trimmer while turning, whenever you stop turning release it. Continuously trim. As for putting the nose down without gaining speed or losing altitude. He is, but when he starts his helicopter is moving backwards, kind off. So puttin the nose down slows him down first and makes him go up. Also keep in mind that's he's probably flying no faster then 80 km/h orso. And as said, practice. Use of an rudder axis is essential for this kind of flying.
  23. Yep, no HUD in the SU-25. Steam gauges only. The gunsight can also be used to aim free fall bombs, rockets, or laser guided missiles.
  24. You can and should approach this from two perspectives; One is, the question if its a cheat in a multiplayer server The other, is if it is cheating in relation to a real life scenario. In the first, i'd say its not, cause all players have the same ability to use it and hence no unfair advantage is gained. In the second, i'd say it is, cause in real life you or your wingmen will still have to spot the missile inbound by scanning the area around him. There's no buttons to press that will magically show your eyes an incoming missile. And yes, i agree whit P Funk as well, keeping the above in mind.
  25. Search the forum for Servman (V3?). I believe its source code should be posted here somewhere. Think the post would be made by Panzertard, so include his name in the search to help narrow down the results. This may help as its a lua scripted software installed on servers to help manage them. And, amongst other things, it logs; Player that fired a Weapon His coalition His airplane The weapon fired The target he destroyed if any What target he destroyed So i guess it has most parameters in its code that your looking for. Personally i have no experience whit coding, so i'm afraid i cant help you much more then that.
