I've come across a few people saying thees a bug with the fuel pump sliders which causes the engine to overheat and seize 20 secs or so after takeoff - this is regardless of govener setting.
-
GPU bound means the GPU is limiting the frame rate, not the CPU, and I'm guessing theoretical frame rate would be the max fps if your gpu wassnt holding back the system

its moved with last update

I rebadged one myslef, there are already a few BS3 skins in the user downloads area, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-skin/unit-is-ka-50/apply/ you are right there is no compatibility with BS2

Looking to set up some custom skins for the ka-50_3 in my {user}/saved games/dcs.openbeta/liveries folder, but I think im getting the path or folder names wrong. The skins work in the main dcs folder but if you set up a ka-50-3 folder inside saved games path they dont display. Does anyone have the rilght path and folder names please? Sorted (I think) Needs a capital K in the folder name, how stupid of me. ka-50 2 is lower case k, Ka-50 3 is capital K.

THanks! - I spent ages looking in all the ED/dcs and saved games/dcs folders but the one I wanted was outside of dcs just sitting in Saved Games.

Where does DCS store all the waypoints? I have a few sandbox missions on different maps for training and I want to go back to a clean slate with cartridge data? Some of the mission cartridge data shows waypoints I put down a year ago. Is ther a file I need to delete? [edit] already answered in another thread - saved games/dcs_ajs37 - delete the contents of this folder
-
Is there a saved games viggen folder that stores all the previous waypoints created in a mission? I want to reset the viggen to start fresh and delete all cartridge data. I have a few sandbox missions for practice & testing but I want all previous cartridge data removed?

Solved it - finally. Rogue default.lua file in dcs/mods/aircraft/ah-64d/AH-64D/Input/ah-64D CPG/Mouse folder. Renamed it to disable. Bloody nuisance. No idea how it got there.
-
Just done a repair - no change. Could it be something to do with the input/mouse.diff.lua file?
-
No - I have them on the pilot controls screen (and they work) but they are missing n the CP/G controls screen!

When flying the Apache as CPG and I hit F2 or F6 then move the mouse around, the camera view remains fixed. Its the only module I have this issue in, flying as pilot is fine. Is this governed by a setting somewhere? Also when you toggle clickable mouse (L Alt + C) in any other module I can look around the cockpit using the mouse, but in CPG seat it stays fixed? Am I the only one? Is this a bug?

When Im driving a vehicle and hit a tree/building/lamppost/other vehicle/soldier/park bench/other objects also available, it won't reverse back out again although reverse gear engages. If I press 'C' for auto-mode, then press 'C' again to take back control, it then lets me return to normal driving, back out away from the crushed object and resume my journey. Is this a bug or a feature?

well tbh thats a right pain! I found the LEV knob upper right of the centre display turns down the green screen overlay brightness but it doesnt seem to be mappable to a keypress or jystk button or jystk axis.
-
How do you turn down the green TADS screen in CP/G seat? And is F2 exterior view supposed to work differntly when in CPG?
-
Is there any keybinding to change brightness/contrast for the maverick video screen? With IR-mavs selected the white-on-black is hardly visible to me.

This thread really made me laugh. Its like someone driving a car decides to buy a horse then complains they have to sit outside and the gears and indicators are all rubbish as well as the brakes I guess more knowledge about the history of dcs and the legacy of the development of the aircraft would aid the o/p in understanding why the FC3 models are what they are, and not a load of bugs. I have the A10c as well now but bought the fc3 pack at the start of my dcs addiction as they gave me instantly a simpler introduction to dcs which was very affordable across a range of airframes and they are a lot of fun to fly and less complicated for the beginner.

Transfer steerpoints from the F10 map into the aircraft - DCS: The Way

Will there be any plans to bring out a version compatible for the FC3 airframes? -

Both A10C's accept and show the WP's as well as the Harrier. -
I've just upgraded my NXT standard to a premium with the kit VKB sell, its used 90% of the time for dcs, just wopndered what people mapped the rapid fire black trigger for on the nose of the joystick? Why is it called rapid fire?

Now with java updated, KA-50 wp's go in nicely and gives a route line between wp's. A10C and A10CII both import wp's fine, they appear on the map mfd, and Harrier works too but no route line, but I dont know the harrier well enough to judge if thee should be one or how its created from WP's. -

Thanks - runs fine now. Great to see all the wp's and route going into the Abris. Not working here, maybe thats cos I have the java 11 issue that prevents me running the unofficial alpha version? -
