Currently at a stand still with this one, first mission drops you in the water, next mission practically unplayable it is such a stutter fest. Seems to have all happened since the last big update. Will this get fixed or should I just forget about this one? Seems to be a campaign by ED do they not check their own for any issues with updates?

Also please note no need for Open Composite any longer either, if you have that you do not need it anymore at least for DCS.
-
NO. That link you posted is for foveated rendering, not Varjo dynamic foveated rendering with eye tracking for the Aero. Listen to me and go read his website, with the Aero you can not run both Toolkit and DFR or you will have trouble, it is one or the other. DFR is not part of the Toolkit it is seperate. And you definitiely do not need the extension wrapper any longer, do not use it. Excerpt from his instructions: Please read all: https://github.com/mbucchia/Varjo-Foveated/wiki Do as instructed and you will have a very pleasurable DFR Eye Tracked experience in DCS with your Aero.
-
In case you were running mbucchia's DFR for the Aero, you need to have the Toolkit disabled. You can run one or the other, but not both.
-
Yep same here. Subsequent starts are longer now than they were, and that first start of the day is atrociously long.
-
Anyone know what values can be input and recognized there? Default is 1 so is it like .9, .8, etc?
-
No he is correct - unless you sign up for the PTC ( Public Test Channel) you have to wait on Meta to get the latest release update to you. They do rolling releases rather than everyone at one time. If on PTC you get the latest (even beta if available) right away. At least that is how it used to be and sounds like it still is.

Ok got it that time, for some reason it was just a breeze this time not sure what I was missing earlier - probably not enough coffee LOL. Thanks again, -

Can someone help me here ? I created an account to sign on to this Github, and I even see where one chooses an amount and type of donation. But I will be danged if I can find how to actually proceed with doing the donation? I am probably missing something really simple but am too stupid to see it. -
Thanks much @mbucchia for all the info and all your great work! Believe me I am loving it as is also!
-
Not at all. I hardly even notice it. I do believe the Aero eye tracking is faster though than the Quest Pro's, pretty sure I read that somewhere. I don't think the Quest Pro eye tracking was designed quite with the same thing in mind as the Aero's was.
-
I "think" currently MT only runs in Open XR natively. No more Open Composite requirements either.
-
I would say that is about what we saw with the Aero's implementation as well. Absolutely incredible.
-
IIRC Pimax had listed the ablilty to use Index controllers with the appropriate tracking as one of it's features - however not yet implemented , I believe it will require an add on module of sort.
-
Yeah I would be interested as well, re-positioning and re-sizing the kneeboard whilst in the game can be somewhat cumbersome to say the least.

A big thank you here! What you have done for DCS in the Aero is absolutely incredible!! -
Seems to be working fine with the Aero, I run at 4x MSAA and have zero shimmering. Also using the DFR/eye tracking feature for the Aero.
-
Hmm yeah that may be. I think I purchased it quite some time ago and never got around to using it.
-
So I am sure very dumb question on my part - what is deal with F15-C also showing in controls menu in addition to F15-E?
-
Any chance of sharpening coming to the Aero DFR settings? Or would it even matter? Thanks for all you do!!
-
AFAIK there is no way to have the defaut kneeboard custom position saved between sessions. No idea myself on your other question. There is an alternative kneeboard available that some folks prefer that may be more customizable for you:
-
Sounds like things have changed then.
-
IIRC Quest Pro only in stand alone mode.
-
mbucchia was very clear that currently in this release it is not expected to work with the Toolkit. So may have to pick one over the other for now - I without hesitation chose eye tracked DFR with my Aero. The difference is just incredible for me.
