  1. lulz...sorry I was kinda saying that tongue in cheek, given the company we keep.;) The majority (90%) on my "game" time is spent in DCS. The other 10%...well let's say Steam is my second port of call. :D
  2. E3? Pfft... We're simmers. We don't play games....:pilotfly:
  3. And now he's our Ambassador to the US...Go figure, as the yanks would say! In terms of the Radar used in the F/A-18E (current talking point, now it would seem) I'm guessing the APG-73 would be modeled, as opposed to the 79, which AFAIK, is still classified tech.
  4. A-10C has only been around since 2005(ish?). I realise comparing the E to a C is apples and oranges, more so than A-10A to C, but I'm sure you get my drift. ;) Other simulation companies like Vertical Reality Simulations are implementing the F/A-18E to a high degree of detail, and AFAIK, this is without a military contract to tie-in to.
  5. Don't tease me...:D
  6. Addendum to 6 - " Yes Dear..."
  7. I agree. If you look at the fidelity of the models as they stand, the F-15 models stand out in terms of detail. Not my first pick (I voted for the Rhino) but that's my guess.
  8. I think the default for TM Warthog has the hat switch on the stick set to POV, with LCtrl modifier for trim. Had to do that when I first got my HOTAS a couple of weeks ago. Had to remap hat switch to trim then as now (after 1.1.2.1).
  9. +1
  10. Some great action there and some great commentary as well :D
  11. Serial # 11510 Location: Adelaide Hills, South Australia
  12. Interesting... I wonder how it compares to TS2012...? No, I'm not serious.
  13. That is, of course, your prerogative. The underlying desires for more DCS product that ultimately drive my attitude doesn't require your approval. And it's been stated before, if you don't like the Mustang module, don't buy it. Simple.;)
  14. Whatever and whenever ED puts out product, there will always be people like myself who will throw money at them, because, let's face, the DCS package rocks. When you guys are ready, we'll be waiting. Tyger, good luck and stay safe.
  15. I never get tired of watching carrier launch and retrieval ops. Thanks for sharing!
  16. I have personally experienced the 80's in 3D. Never again...
  17. If you don't want to outlay for track IR just yet, but you do have a webcam, have a look at http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm It is compatible with A-10C, according to their games matrix. http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/compatibility/games.htm
  18. As above, but also this: I would suggest not using the Saitek SST profile just yet. Leave it blank, as it might conflict with in-game mapping in unusual ways, not immediately obvious.
  19. In DCS, look for any reference that uses numpad 5. What ever function is associated with with that key is the source of your issue.
  20. It should be able to handle 2-key functions, so this is strange. Make sure you don't have "stickykeys"; ie another key or function is silently and continuously inputting while you try programming the SST. One way to check, if you have Win 7 is the On-screen Keyboard. Sound like you have the TIR centre key set to match the snap look left down. This needs to be programmed by the user, so the best way to make sure you beat it is to erase all references to views ingame and build it up from there. Time consuming, but I fear necessary. Haha! Welcome to the club, mate! I have been flying the Ka-50 for near 3 years now, and I still suck using unguided rockets. It's all about a fine control touch and trimming your ship to set up the run a couple of km before strike. Also, make sure you loose the rockets at maximum permissible range, so that you can break off the attack with out having to overfly the target. Bloody hard if you are target fixated! :pilotfly:
  21. Hi Sniper, Depending on your joystick, this can be done outside of the games programmable inputs using you joystick's proprietary software - on my Saitek X52Pro, it's the SST program. You can have canon fire set in game, and set release weapon in the joystick software. You cannot fire both canon and hardpoints at the same time, so this is a safe option.
  22. ...and I wouldn't mind some feedback. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1408638&postcount=1 I know that I may incur the wrath of mods by redirecting to another thread where anyone can look anyway, but...
  23. Wonderful tribute. Thanks for sharing.
