However, if you use tacview, you will have a record of telemetry instead of a rerun of the simulation. I have had Ai do different things than originally in a DCS track. That won't ever happen with tacview. Not a dumb question at all mate. Welcome aboard!

Nice job mate. I think we also might need a critical look at the amount of force a bounce imparts. I know the 29 isnt a heavy plane, but to me it feels like the bounce is too forceful.

F-18 is no fair comparison, we slam that one hard as it's a carrier aircraft. It's built for rough, no flare landings. F-16 is a better comparison. And no, that one does not bounce up if you land it roughly. I do have to admit, it's a fun challenge getting MiG-29 landings right. It just doesn't fit with the way other planes behave in the game. If they all bounced, fine. Challenge accepted. If the nosegear would break or twist on rough landing, fine, challenge accepted. But this catapult rocket nosegear we got? Doesn't feel right man.

I have tested it some more this afternoon. When you touchdown within parameters and carefully keep the nose up while not scraping the tail, it touches down ok. If however you let it slam on touchdown, it launches you back up like a rocket thruster in the nose.

I believe landing gear and/or plane structure would crack if forces are applied that make the machine bounce twenty meters in the air. The thing is not made of rubber. Also, aren't they called shock absorbers instead of pogo springs? Anyway, the reason I am persisting on this issue is because I love what you guys have crafted in the MiG-29 flight model. It's so good. I wish I could land it as easily as the other planes. It should not be harder to land than MiG-21, right?

I can land all machines in DCS without accident, some with a little difficulty such as the spitfire, but none give the odd bounce behavior the MiG-29 does. Yes if you fly it perfectly it lands well, but when (slightly) out of bounds, it goes wildly up. Are we flying the same thing YoYo?

Compared to the other machines, 3rd party or not, the Fulcrum still bounces excessively. I can land a viper at 40km out of parameters just fine, or a balalaika, but not the dreaded 29. It will not crush or pop its tyres, no, it will make like a pogo stick and go boioioing up in the sky. And not just a few meters, but a lot. I thought at first the bugfix patch toned it down, and it may have, but it's not enough.

Hi guys, When you give the thread title command, and not all jets even have it, the AI wingmen report in. However, they only say their number. Wouldn't it be great if they could say their fuel state, armaments, etc? cheers, schurem

MiG-29 excessive bounce isn't fixed. No other plane in the game has these rubber shocks.

So did the MiG-29 nosewheel bounce get toned down or is that just me? Someone needs to do a filecompare..
