I think people who have trouble with FPS should try updating drivers and deleting metashaders and fxo folders. I did both and see a marked improvement in simple missions such as MiG-15 nevada dogfight instant action (four airplanes)

For me, Hercules, the 130 would be ideal. However a spartan would be fun as well, or a Dakota.

FTFY Doing hardcore early 80s style iron hand in a viper, I would not take ten CBU's. You don't want to be heavy when dodging SAMs. Two or four CBU's, dropped in pairs. Maybe a couple rocket pods when feeling ballsy. But mostly shotgunning some CBU-99 (that's the rockeye IIRC) on those fokkers then GTFO like a cat with its tail on fire.

What is missing in the YaK, besides the radio navigation? I would *love* a simple rocket pod, even if it fired only smoke rockets, to give it a role to play in combat.

For me the main selling points are Jell-O the LSO and the dudes running around the deck.
