  1. Excellent training missions, wish I found these before I learned cold starts from Youtube, learning while doing  Perfect for shark virgins. I've done the navigation so far which was so much easier to understand and learn now on to the Advanced ABRIS and datalink.
  2. :doh:Ah sorry, it's not in the actual mission briefing itself, might be an idea to put it in there to remove the need to refer back to an internet forum when you're simming and all you have is the mission briefing in the simulator to consult for mission data:smartass:
  3. Thanks very much for the work but where do I take the JTAC team once I have them?
  4. I think clickabledata.lua has the ID for the various cockpit switches and their positions. Not sure about how to detect the pit that your in though.
  5. The same thing happens with mine too. It's due to the no force zone I think.
  6. Nice work sir, any plans to make profiles for Huey etc?
  7. This is excellent, glad to see this make a return, I literally had dug this program out the other day and thought "ohh this would probably still work if I knew the first thing about export scripts";) The program does have a bug though were after a while it creates lag in the control system, but it is hella cool when its working.
  8. First thing you need to do is update your G940 firmware. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=54239 After this you can adjust the sensitivity of the axes in the DCS World control options. The stick should be able to move around in the trimmed position, trimming moves the stick and holds it in the position you want it to be in but you should be still able to maneuver. My no.1 top tip is not to use the Logitech profiler but use the DCS controller options to assign buttons to the G940. My second tip is personal preference, I use simFFB in Huey and in Black Shark. You should look it up and consider its benefits compared to how the stick reacts using DCS FFB in light of the G940s' draw backs. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84883 The problem is that any FFB stick used in DCS should have a a linear response curve as any curvature will screw up the Force Trim mechanism, but a linear response curve requires very very steady hands You see there is an area around the G940 stick centre that has zero FFB which makes for very "twitchy" control in this area. Your tiny inadvertent movements in this area are translated into huge stick movements in the sim. My third tip is to look up the "Reversal bug" and then start planning a "Bodnar mod" for the throttle and pedals axes as I have done in just the last week http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.ph...e_picture.html
  9. Yes in fact I believe that this is him tipping his hat to the demise of the entire genre, in the 1.2.5 release notes he mentiones a staffing change being responsible for no change to the current ATC AI being made. For me this is a definite indication that all is doom and that all that tin foil in my kitchen was a worth while investment. It's the cult of Wags's avatar :worthy: Edit: Sorry no I don't think it means any change to their business plan:smilewink:
  10. Aha I didn't have deicing on, I didn't know that icing was modelled, I'll also try with less fuel. Hold on chief!!
  11. I've almost landed on the saddle a couple of times and I can't find a youtube video so i was wondering how's it done? And why ain't there a video of this epic achievement?
  12. P-51, Cliffs of Dover, 777's Battle of Stalingrad and everything RRG put out in the future:) It certainly is a great time to be flight simming:thumbup: I thought I needed the detents for reference but the allure of multi turn pots and the precision they'll allow is hard to give up for convenience. How would I know at a glance what my trims where set to, that'll be a PITA to figure, I guess I'd just have to check them preflight. Hmm I shall have to think this one over.
  13. I'm planning to use them for trims. Thinking bout it, of course multiturn pots won't have a detent. Can anyone recommend good quality pots with a centre detent?
  14. No worries sir the cabling idea is brilliant! Maybe someone else will happen along with more info :)
  15. Can you recommend a multi turn pot that does have a centre click? Ooh I have tonnes of lan cable, what's the core like? It needs to be quite rigid to jam into the connectors.
  16. Sorry for the noobvious question but does anyone know if these have a centre "click"? http://www.vishay.com/docs/57065/533534.pdf Also to further demonstrate my ignorance.. what grade/type/kind of wire should I be buying to hook these up to a BU0836x?
  17. Nice one sir, I'll give it a go:thumbup:
  18. Think I might just go with widening the screw holes a tad, that'll be safe enough won't it? Just go really slow with a file until I can get a screw through it? That's some damn nice work there Zaelu, I'm modding my G940 throttle in this project, I like your solution to the problem and the addition off the trims on the throttle too. If only Logitech had taken the time to ask a flight simmer they would have realised how utterly useless it was to have trims on the stick base:doh:
  19. How did you enlarge them, drill them out?
  20. I can't, I feel its reduces sensitivity (I need maximum sensitivity for hot pick ups) and it ruins the spontaneity of the whole thing;) Now for super cereal, nobody has come across this problem before? So the rest of you just shove this thing in a box, devil may care, and never worry about it slipping and sliding around in there? I need this thing to be portable so I can just whip it out at lan parties and impress people with its professional look. P.S. At no point in this post am I referring to my genitalia, even though it may sound that way:P
  21. So you cant use motherboard standoffs, I know that now :music_whistling: Any advice as to how to secure this thing? Any help will be much appreciated.:)
  22. Excellent mod:thumbup: Thanks
  23. Two weeks Edit: Sorry wrong forum;)
  24. Yeah the FC3 commands will be like the BS2 command structure? What I did was delete all the binds from my HogThrottle and then assign them all as I wanted. With the switches 1 set all the "down" actions, note the button numbers 2 saved the profile FrogHogThrottle.lua, 3 edited FrogHogThrottle.lua to add the "up" actions to the noted buttons 4 went back into controller options and loaded FrogHogThrottle again to get the "up" actions working. For flaps use Full up and Full down for guess what;) To get combat flaps in the middle set the "up" action for these two buttons as flaps toggle. They will desync though which is a limitation of the pre-A10C commands structure. Fingers crossed that when the FC3 aircraft go DCS that might be fixed in the process.
  25. Probably not got the throttle full up, I've got it bound to the "Friction slider" the grey "dooda" next to the APU switch. I'm guessing the WH's default assignment for "throttle/corrector" is the same and hence when you use your WH you're not at full throttle and when using the Logitech you are as it probably doesn't have an axis to assign to the throttle/corrector. :pilotfly:
