  1. It's no problem with trackir because you have real world reference to keep you grounded. Using Vorpx to setup VR in normal games one of the more common complaints is when the head tracking is off vs head movement in the game world. It disorientates you quickly.
  2. Anything other than 1:1 would increase the chance of motion sickness.
  3. Thank you for responding.
  4. Critiquing communication isn't harsh. I'm more than patient if they keep me in the loop.
  5. Been checking my junk folder as well. 1st response came through no problem. If they don't want my business I guess I can go with Monstertech. Costs more, but if I can order now a few months of lead time is worth some cash.
  6. Any updates on preorders? I put in for the desk mounts, but haven't received anything back outside of the initial response.
  7. Uhm, actually 3dfx had a proprietary API called Glide. Often a Voodoo card was paired with a Matrox card because Matrox had really good 2D performance. 3dfx died because it couldn't compete with Nvidia with Directx and was bought out by Nvidia. Later Matrox supported DirectX, but couldn't compete with Nvidia and Ati. Matrox still exists and specializes in commercial multiple displays like video walls. Good try though.
  8. In the 3D hanger, the Mig-29 seems to be about right when i stand up from my chair
  9. I have noticed that the clouds don't rotate when you move your head any more
  10. Would be great if there was a log of radio transmissions on the knee board that way you could review the 9 line as if you had wrote it down. Or have a 'scratchpad' that is a simple text log of radio calls.
  11. I have found that for my system trees seem to be a major fps hit. Lowering tree distance to the lowest setting gains makes a big difference, but I hate the pop in of the shirt distance. Is there an .ini setting to make the distance 0?
  12. I'm taking a crack at the campaign, but I'm defenceless against the enemy MIG-29s. I'm 4 missions in and tasked with hitting some BMPs. I take off and on my way to the IP when I'm spiked by summer MIGs. I hold back and called in the CAP. I circled and 10 miles south of my IP and I see the MIGs get in my inner circle of my RWR. So I turn trail and dive for Batumi. I made it over the airfield when the MIGs open up on me. To my surprise there's anti air defences at the airfield  So I'm was shot out of the air. Not sure what I can do if there is no IAD for my side.
  13. Looks awesome. I second preprogramming the radios would be ace. I know you can go in to a mission and safe them, then load back up so there's must be a file that holds the info.
  14. Agree with the others, you won't notice it. Just like RL your eyes will act as natural shock absorbers for small movement
  15. If you are locked in at 45fos that means Asynchronous Space Warp is running. https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/44941/how-to-disable-asw
  16. This mod is great for the A-10C https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=172910
  17. It's still confused by complex finger motions, but a single finger out for a switch or a thumb and finger for a dial doesn't confuse it. There would still have to be a visual component to flipping switches. Watching videos of Fly Inside you move your finger to a control and once you break a plane close to the control you get a visual indication of the direction of movement. Say you want to throw the APU switch you are looking at it and move your finger towards it. Once you get a certain distance from it you get a visual indication of either flipping it up or down. A lot like how Falcon BMS had the sticky mouse to controls. ${1}
  18. so was this hard coded out or can we import .lua or other files from earlier versions to make them work? Just thinking since the menu option is still there.
  19. Bumping as this is really an issue. Using curves messes up with linearity of the throttle. Use a curve to line up afterburner with the detent then you have a flat spot of 100% throttle leading up to the detent. We need a way to tell the SIM this is my detent so there is linearity up to it and after it for afterburner stages.
  20. Leap positioning in 3d space is very precise.
  21. Hoping this means Leap hardware well be supported as well. I think hand tracking would be a more eloquent solution then having to pick up a controller.
  22. Tried a quick flight with the Viggen to get a feel for it. It seems if I even look at my rudder pedals it yaws like crazy and goes into a spin. Is the rudder that sensitive in the real plane? Or am I looking to put some curves on yaw input?
  23. Hmm, have my old X52pro kicking around. I could put it on the desk beside my throttle and have an actual radar stick
  24. I'm seconding this. I kept my x65f throttle and only got a Warthog flight stick because the rotaries are very convenient when flying other planes that the A-10
  25. I'm guessing the heat uodated will be Jan 27 as that's when the Viggen is released
