  2. My soldering iron should be hotter than a hair dryer and even after 5 minutes it wouldn't budge.
  3. well I guess I'm stuck with the soft center cams. I tried to swap them out, but the damn locktight is so set that there is no way. Sat with my soldering iron for 5 minutes trying to heat up the screw and still no way it moved, my screwdriver started to strip the head. Assinine the amount of locktight they use.
  4. Yes, it wouldn't be the clip. There is no software or drivers for it. The usb cable only provides power for the leds
  5. Selling sperately shoukd be considered. As more boutique makers enter the market like Virpil and VKB modular setups mixing brands will be more common.
  6. They aren't going to support Nvidia VRworks or AMD Liquid VR. If ish part of an open standard I imagine it will be supported as it woukdl be part of the API.

  10. What model enlargement bright to VR was more than spotting distance. Currently we can use labels to create dots that fade in and out with distance that works well in VR for me, but the lack what the enlargement brought. What it brought to VR was the ability to properly judge aspect of a target a a decent distance. Chasing dots is one thing, but to be able to see the wing position of a target a few on away makes combat much more enjoyable as you can avoid playing zoom bungie

  12. There really needs to be separate mechanics for visibility for vr vs monitor. I still use my translucent grey dot labels in vr as spotting hasn't been fixed with the limited rez combined with the screen door effect. It's better and there's a shimmer from far off contacts >8km, but that shimmer can get lost in the screen door. Easily.
  13. I don't think it's rendering another image. I believe the desktop is just mirroring the left eye.

  15. How does increasing PD increase target visibility? It's always been the opposite. A higher PD would cause a distant target get rendered below a single pixel and rejected.
  16. How waiting and seeing instead of dismissing out of hand? When I've used the hacked leap drivers in Steam VR to mimic the controllers it seems to have decent accuracy. Is rather someone try than not in the end

  21. Flying the campaign now and I'm confused by this mission as well. I'm told to fly into the FEBA at 5700 and once I'm in the area and find the column I decide to use the loaded CBU-97's that have been loaded up by default, the only thing is that the HOF for the weapons is set to around 8500, so it goes against what has been planned, plus they take forever to drift down and never hit the column
  22. ok, it seems in cockpit controls external engine sound in the cockpit, seems counter-intuitive. You'd think in cockpit would control in cockpit generated sounds, not the external engine sound.
  23. I find the in game ui acts weird when I turn on the ingame ipd no matter what setting. It seems to have exaggerated zooming and movent when I move my head, even if the ipd setting matches my headset
  24. Haven't done it for 2.5, but in the past in the sounds folder I replaced the Russian voices with the English voices. I made a mod file isn't the mod manager so I could remove it.
  25. Wondering why you turn off terrain shadows and cockpit global illumination if it had no impact to performance?
