So do you ever buy any hardware, or just wait for the next greatest thing to come out, there will always be faster CPUs, SSDs and graphics cards. I've been enjoying my Rift since it was released, not dreaming of what the next greatest thing the will come out.:thumbup:

I believe the physics had rendering and lighting needs DS to work.

Simply put out of all the available DCS aircraft the A-10C had the most functionally complex throttle and people looking for a replacement want to be able to map those functions to the new throttle. If the M2000 had a more complex throttle then I would be looking if a new throttle was able to map is functions as a baseline. Any other available throttle you mention aren't able to map those functions so they don't meet that requirement. Personally I still fly with an X-65 throttle as it is able to map all the A-10 functions plus has 2 rotaries. The newer Saitek examples have less hats so I have stuck with this one. Same reason why I haven't got the Warthog throttle as well since the x-65 had rotaries. By the looks of it the mini stick virpil throttle may be able to replace my current setup. But one of the requirements is an I asked to map the A-10 controls to it completely?

I know Steam VR didn't care how different controllers you have so if you still have your Rift sensors you can try using them for the touch controllers while using the Oddessy.

Only use one. If you set PD to say 1.5 in both then you are compounding them. DCS will apply 1.5 to the 1.5 you are already running. I don't know if either one is better than the other.

Mousing in VR is no different than mousing in 2d

I moved from a triple 24" setup to a single 50" 4k TV. The extra expance of the screen is great. I play mostly in VR now. From your options for siming is go with the triple 50's. The screen is large enough to fill your vision so the extra screens would just add to the immersion. I find from my triples setup you concentrate on the center screen and the sides fill your fov. Be warned that regular gaming becomes a pain on triples and using various hacks and fixesv to get games to work. Since I made the jump to VR I went to a large single screen for gaming as triples was becoming a headache to maintain. If you are only simming then triples is the way to go.

I was refreshing my knowledge before jumping into the campaign and reflew mission 2. For some reason I can't create a new waypoint. I hit prep and then 0-2, but it resets back to 0 or 1.

Injectors like reshade and sweetfx don't work in VR. I can't find a definitive answer if Nvidia fxaa works or not.

Just tried the campaign in 2.5 beta. On the first mission no friendly aircraft take off at all.

As a VR pilot I echo this as well. 2.5 had improved slightly and properly setup labels help as well, but it's still chasing dots. Even with zoom you have to be really close to distinguish the type of plane. Good smart scaling would help immensely. Make it a server side setting to appease the MP purists. At least I could fly with better immersion in SP.
