Also, you can still take off when you're slightly above max weight.

Operation Black Bear Campaign for the JF-17 Thunder
Mustang25 replied to JonathanRL's topic in JF-17 Thunder
Awesome! Black Bear was already impressive, even more so because it's free. Keep up the good work! -
Radar Coverage (Upper and Lower Altitude)
Mustang25 replied to [PTF]Ali's topic in Bugs and Problems
I believe this is correct. The JF-17 has narrower bars compared to the Viper. -
This isn't a loft but I've managed to get close to 45 miles with a release altitude above 38k ft and >M0.8

[CHK] GB-6 Crashing before hitting target
Mustang25 replied to Mustang25's topic in Bugs and Problems
Has anyone from Deka been able to take a look at this? -
To add to this, 300kts is the gear speed limit. You will get the aural warning above that speed.
-
What speed are you deploying your landing gear and what speed are you touching down at?
-
You need to turn your datalink off to see the TACAN button. Once you turn it on you can turn datalink back on again and they will both be displayed.
-
Good news for you, they’re adding that in the next patch. Lol
-
Try using a negative curve, somewhere between -10 and -20 works for most people.
-
Do you have your radar scale set appropriately? That’s the only thing I can think of off the top of my head. A track or video should help in getting a quick answer too!
-
TA is terrain avoidance mode and it was only recently added in the last patch. I don't remember which thread it was exactly but you should be able to search for it in this forum and find the recent thread on how it works. I don't believe BCN and WA modes are implemented.
-
I believe it's just a replacement for the BRU-33 which was a placeholder.

As pictured below, when you're in the CTRL Page and select a field that uses a numeric input, the top left OSB where CTRL was previously remains highlighted. I've seen this behavior in both Burst Altitude and Impact Azimuth options.
-
GB-6s will crash into the ground on max range releases in PP and TOO modes. However, I noticed that if you set an impact azimuth the GB-6 will properly guide. In the Link are tracks and tacviews to support. A second thing I noticed is that when the GB-6 do guide properly, they will take a steep dive early and then maintain a low altitude (about 2-3k ft at 10 nm from the target) for terminal guidance. Compared to the LS-6 which follows a more consistent glide path. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it is intended behavior. Notes: - I have not tested this at lower altitudes to see if it can be replicated - medium and short range releases do not seem to have this issue and will guide as expected

The SD-10 does not auto-loft, you have to manually pitch up and fire it. I can’t remember what the pitch angle was, it’s somewhere here in the forum. I want to say more than 8 degrees?

Yes, the textures are still a WIP. Their texture guy on the Deka team was in and out of the hospital the past year but he's getting back at it. The last patch updated the throttle handle itself so look for more textures in the future.

Hey guys, I'm having trouble getting DCS to load to the main menu in VR, I can see the hangar and the progress bar loads to a 100% but does not progress beyond that. Checking the log (also attached below), I noticed this: "ALERT Dispatcher: Error starting Game GUI: [string "./MissionEditor/MissionEditor.lua"]:86: invalid order function for sorting" I've tried deleting that file and running a repair with no luck. I don't have this problem in 2D and, if it matters, I'm using an Index. Also, I've tried deleting my options lua but it has not made a difference either. dcs VR.txt

How far away from the target are you? It will only ground stabilize at 21 miles if not it will move relative to the aircraft.
-
I think that even if they limit it to the outer racks (which I agree that they probably won't do it for the inner pylons) it'll still be a capability upgrade IMO. Currently the only thing you can double rack out there are the GB-12s and dumb bombs. So being able to double the amount of GPS munitions while still carrying two bags will be nice. And I could only dream that they add TERs or MERs on those pylons for those SDBs. lol Are there even any pics at all of those small LS-6s mounted on racks? I've only seen pictures of them on static display mounts at trade shows.
-
I think the LS-6 100 and 250s would be the some of the best additions to the JF-17 since we've lost the BRMs on the inner pylons. Being able to double or triple rack (does that even exist for the JF-17?) them on a pylon would bring some welcome firepower back to the aircraft. I would also think that the implementation of it in the game would be pretty straight forward as far as integrating it into the cockpit goes so I hope Deka has enough info on it to be included.

investigating USB Issue with 9 or more devices connected

I just unplug and replug one of my USB devices. It works as long as you have hotplugging still enabled. -

Hey @Flappie I totally missed this thread and just now found it! So I tried starting up DCS with the specific controller that was producing the error unplugged and it went to the main menu just fine. So I still have more than 9 devices connected and it seems to just really not like that one specific device. To add on, this only happens when I have the TrackIR software running before starting DCS. If I run DCS first, I can start TrackIR when I get to the main menu and cycle my devices.
