The CPU Patch did the trick for me too. Before the patch my system was getting Maximum CPU temps of 81C in Germany Cold War Map. Now things are back to normal. Yepee!

I was using Tobii GameHub (TGH) but just switched to OpenTrack (OT) because I started to notice how much microstutter there was in head movement with TGH. I don't recall TGH being so laggy and jittery in the past. Something must have changed between some DCS and Tobii updates. Using the latest beta version of OT with the Relativetave translation and HamiltonAccela filter is pretty smoth.

I believe we can't expect any FSR updates until Vulkan arrives. As a workaround you can try OptiScaler: https://github.com/cdozdil/OptiScaler It actually helps to reduce the crazy amount of AA shimmering that my AMD RX6800 suffers from. Only install to DCS World\bin - Make sure you follow the instructions. DCS no longer uses the bin-mt folder. This requirement and other suggestions plus plenty of videos are documented online if you do a few searches Good luck.

Fps loss 50% near water/sea and drawing of fences
YSIAD_RIP replied to maks's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have not spent as much time as I wanted to with DCS since purchasing this map. The interesting thing I did notice with the Upper Northern part of the map, when facing the ocean, was that the frame time stutter and FPS performance drop was extremely noticeable for me only with the excellent and free OH-6A helicopter. The Kiowa and Gazelle performed much better and with zero stutter on the same location. Something strange is going on, and I am more curious to know what the solution will eventually be because it has not really stopped me from enjoying the map in its current state. -
Community A-4E-C v2.3 (May 2025)
YSIAD_RIP replied to plusnine's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
@plusnine, Thank you for giving me a reason to start up DCS tonight and update my A-4E-C to version 2.3. How much time I spend will be dependent on the weather and the dog.. lol -
Reshade Survives an Update If you do a repair that scans all files and takes much longer it will detect the extra reshade files but give you the option to keep those files

@Osiris666 I recall a few times in the past getting a strange stutter/strobe effect with my Tobii in DCS. I usually just quit DCS and after restarting DCS all was fine. Try this: Use the Tobii Enable/Disable hotkey that temporarily enables/disables camera control - Setting is in GameHub options for DCS. Use a framerate limiter to cap DCS FPS to 60, 72 or 144Hz to see if there is any change. Are you using Camera Boost? Try it on or off. Make sure you are running latest version of Tobii Experience and GameHub. Is latest version of headtracker.dll in the correct dcs/bin folder? I assume you are running from bin since bin and bin-mt are the same now. If you are using a custom Tobii DCS profile trying going back to the Default or install the Tobii Recommended Profile found on their DCS World >> DCS_6DOF.ghubprofile Document

Nice Refresher... Hope these new videos get more DCS players into adding VAICOMPRO to their flight experience. I remember back in the day paying for VAICOMPRO before it went opensource. Cheers

I have a stick Extension and thicker springs are a must have. Has a hack and just for fun I added some good quality elastic bands along with the springs to my Orion 2 Base to give the springs a little more compression. I have seen elastic bands used in some flight sim yoke modes in the past. No complaints so far, especially if you want a little more resistance for Pitch vs less for roll. Cheers

I have been using the Original DCS UFC App for a few years now. Recently purchased the F-4E and OH-58D Panels for the new DCS UFC X app. I am very happy with the new additions and the way @pet333r created the app so that new modules can be updated and purchased for DCS UFC X as needed. New KEEBOARD Panel is very handy and fun to play with: The Info included in the DCS UFC X Menu "requires the DCS KneeboardX application located in the script folder" To be more specific it is located in: \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\pw-dev_script\Utilities\DCS_KneeboardX.exe When you set up the Kneeboard Config correctly for DCS World Saved Games and Installation path everything just works. @pet333r thanks for doing such a good job of documenting the details within the app.

Agreed. I get the same. Some Microsoft Patch probably created the conflict. -
Time to give Afghanistan another go with the DCS "TRIAL". Looks like I have plenty of room on my DCS Terrain SSD.

Weather mod v16 for DCS
YSIAD_RIP replied to bandit648's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Same here.. Been using Mod Managers for over 15 years. OpenModMan is the latest "Child" to Ovgme and written by the same Developer. I recently started trying the new SLAM YouTube Demonstration of SLAM. I like SLAM because it uses Symbolic Links, is fast and does not Move as much data around when compared to traditional Mod Managers. Good luck @Ghostrider142- 293 replies

December Kola Map Update - Coming Soon!
YSIAD_RIP replied to Marina's topic in Orbx Simulation Systems
Very happy I got this map as soon as it came out. Watching it improve over the last few months has made me feel like it was money well spent. Thanks. -
I feel your pain. I used a rubber Tarp Bungee that I picked up from Princess Auto. Most hardware stores carry similar. Used a 9 inch and cut it but 4 inch looks good too. Had to "drill" bigger holes in order to slip it over the mounts where the spring usually goes. https://trisontarps.ca/store/product/tarp-strap-bungees-with-crimped-s-hooks/?srsltid=AfmBOopZj7AWK10yba4CWXUu--eo26BtFzgcr5-nP3HzPkh8nl0BrjFy

OH-6A by Tobsen and Eightball
YSIAD_RIP replied to tobi's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
The glorious fact that Eagle Dynamics Allows any Mods is one of the reasons I love this platform! When mods stop working I trouble shoot and see if there is a conflict with another mod or I wait to see if there is a workaround or an update to the mod. Regarding "Mission Editor Requires all mods used, to be present"... The mission MIZ files can be edited to remove the requirements. There is a very handy utility from Loophole in the DCS User Files Downloads that I have been using for 2 years. It is a Drag and Drop Solution and still works because I just used it tonight! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322208/ I am blown away the more I fly the OH-6A Mod and use the asset packs provided because the quality is so professional. This is an A+ Job and @tobi and @Eight Ball have really outdone themselves! -

MB-339A/PAN = Improved coloured smokes (red and green) Very Nice ! @6S.Duke It looks like this improvement is only for Player Controlled Aircraft because the AI still has the old light pink and light green smoke.... ( Not even a First World Problem -- just saying! ) .
-
100% agree with that and the M2000C is still a fantastic module after many years and updates/improvements.
-
Yep. @MAESTR0Get rid of the Motion Blur. Also make sure you are doing your video capture at 60 FPS no need for anything higher because YouTube is what it is. Good luck.
