Sorry to burst your bubble, but virtualization doesn't imply software rendering. Not to mention that HW virtualization capabilities have spread to mainstream CPUs (they were present on the server ones for some time), so virtualized OS can run natively on the CPU, and not via sw emulation.

Because of the insane downforce the F1 car generates, it is almost impossible to lock wheels on a F1 cars at high speed. However, locking at slow speed is not big of a problem (you can see it numerous time during race), and ABS would find it use, but it's banned for the sake of driver competition (as stated above and for the same reason traction control is banned aswell).

gonna rephrase, did you turn the laser on with NWS button? The laser is turned independed from TGP and needs to be turned on with NWS button. Also, if latched is off (default), then the laser will fire only for a short ammount of time. Also the thing you can see with nv googles is not laser but IR marker.

Why should I pay for the abilty to play on someone elses (non EDs) server?
-
So, I would pay for a promise that the engine ,on say DCS:BS, will one, unspecified day, be udpated with A-10C improvements? Did I rephrased it correctly? That sound like milking for me. Say the price for the upgrade package, and we can discuss whether or not it is reasonable. But having to pay more, for the same, dependant on how long the development will take... Nono.

I understant the payment for MMO, when after buying the title I require additional, prolonged, support from the developer side. Server housing and internet connectivity Blizzard requires for wow aren't cheap, not to mention the 24h customer service and additional content beeing put into the game via patches. I don't understand, why should I pay additional funds, when I'm not using any additional services provided by developer. What would I, a customer, gain? Why should I pay for using a produch I allready bought? I don't like milking the customer, even if it seems to be the trend nowadays. I'm okay with microtransactions, buying additional campaigns, etc. I'm also ok with increased price for their product, A10C is inasne bang for the bucks.

I'm prety sure the same applies for jtac, as jtac is just a regular unit placed in mission editor, with assigned frequency and 'jtac' tasks.

What's already been said, needs to be said again..

signed as well. My computer can barely run it, but I'm still having tons of fun with it. The bang for buck is insane, an the engine improvements from BS are insane as well. Superb job everyone involved in development! -
My experience with an old machine: INTEL Core 2 Duo E6750 - 2,67GHz Nvidia 8800GT 2GB Ram Vista 32 The game is playable (above 30fps in air, less on ground) for training in 1280x1050, mid-low settings. The biggest bottleneck is RAM, it just isn't sufficient and hdd paging kickes in immediately after mission start. The next bottleneck is GPU, CPU sits at 60% most of the time. That's for training -> very few AI units. I imagine it will be different in more complex missions. Tbh, the only thing I plan upgrading is ram. I don't see much point in spending 300 bucks for a new GPU, when the CPU would became the bottleneck instead. I'll rather keep the 300bucks and invest it during summer, when I plan to buy a new rig.

All clear, thanks a lot.

Thanks :) So, what's the correct procedure of attack? Do I run in from what direction I please?

I've got one simple queston about jtac operation. How do I navigate to the IP, is it stored in the CDU? I've read the manual and this thing must have eluded me. Edit: I created a simple mission with one navigation point, FORD, in it. And obviously the point is stored in CDU as nav point, but when I select it, the nav point name is MS001, it's position matches FORD np position, but why isn't it named ford?

You can also find basic missions named Free Flight in the mission list, one for ramp start, one for ramp start and one for in flight start.

A-10C. More buttons to play with More weaponary to use More mission types to fly +JTAC

They will have plenty time to think about how silly attitude that is ;)

Do you get a CD key for FC 2.0 in it? If so, you can see how many times it was used on http://proactive.star-force.com/2.0/activate.php by entering the CD key in the serial number field and clicking the 'Serial Number parameters' label.
-
Was it lockon platinum you bough? That's the only thing that comes in a Lomac + FC 2 bundle. Dunno about the price though. But the FC 2.0 should definitely have a SN needed for activation. It should ask for a SN number the first time you launch a mission. Did you installed FC 2.0 over Lomac or separately? It should be installed as a standalone, in different directory. I sincerely hope that you weren't cheated, but all the times problem like this occured on this forum it was because of a pirated version.:noexpression:
-
You mean got, like, I bought it legaly and installed on a legal lock-on. And not, I downloaded it from some other, not so legal, source? Because that kind of things you describe is what pirated FC 2.0 use to do (you are not the first one with this problem here).

Select your flight, then you will see the button

the six updater is PITA here, not steam ;) The only difference between a regular install and the steam one is the location of root folder, the actual file structure is the same.

Before mission : 1)In the briefing screen press the mission planer button. (that will open a stripped down mission editor) 2)Gui manual page 108 describes how to select payload. In mission Commuication -> ground crew -> select payload :)

soooo, it's really going to be AC-130U? :P

A short campaign: Final assault on Poti
winz replied to tflash's topic in User Created Missions General
Good campaign, had fun playing it :) Just two minor issues 1)The mission where you have to engange the armored column (the mission after you are tasked to destroy some docked ships) have wrong briefing 2)It would be a good idea to set the initial mission score to 50, so when you fail a mission, you don't move backwards in the campaign. Other then that, the missions worked flawlessly and really enyojed them. :) +rep -
Here you go http://www.sector.sk/recenzia/28803/dcs_black_shark.htm but not sure what good it will be to you, as it is all in slovak :P;)
