Good idea, but not as a DLC. I fly only in multiplayer and with any objects, which aren't in the core sim, there are always problems for them, without it. Imagine, you place some of your ground crew models around the client aircraft. And one of them doesn't have this DLC. He can't see them and maybe taxi where they are placed. What happens in such situations?

Two or three years ago, I read in a German magazine (Flieger Revue, IIRC), that the Iranian were supported by the Russians, to bring up their Tomcats with modern software, avionics and weapons. And they used a great part of their former F-14 fleet as spare part source.

Yeah. The S-3B has enough fuel for one or two aircraft with external fuel tanks. +1 for an KC-135 with basket or any other NATO tanker with p&d system.

Hi tacno, thanks for the update. At least, push-to talk. :thumbup: Question abaout the "mic click": It seems, that other pilots can hear the mic click only, when someone talked. IIRC, it should be also available, when you only push the mic button. In real life, pilots use these mic clicks to communicate with each other, without words. Thanks Zeus! :thumbup: But, without any source to prove it - how can the own ECM jam your own Radar? The Radar is the farthest forward sensor of the Mirage (except the pitot tube) and transmitts to the front. The jammer sits behind the Radar, right? The correct frequency (and all that stuff) which needs to be interpreted has to be received from that point. So, how can the ECM which sits behind the Radar (and its waves) jam this sensor? :huh:

Beides. Bis auf ein paar Dinge (z.B. Programme für Gegenmaßnahmen, zusätzliche HUD Elemente) ist sie komplett. Ich gehe davon aus, dass Razbam das Projekt (bugfixes ausgeschlossen) bis Ende des Jahres abschließen wird.

Hi folks, here are some impressions from the training of our 2nd squadron (DCS), flying the M-2000C in the air-to-air and offensive-counter-air role. Let's start with some non-combat stuff: Formation take-off and FYTTR departure from Nellis AFB, aerial refueling and HI TACAN Y approach with an (single) overhead pattern. Moin! Seit langem hatte ich mal wieder alles was man braucht, um ein kleines Video zu schneiden: Lust und Zeit. Auch endlich mal Zeit, mich mit meiner neuen Magix Software auseinander zu setzen. Das war - neben den zwei oberen Faktoren - am Jahresanfang auch ein weiteres Hindernis. Diesmal kein Tutorial, leider nein. Einfach ein Mittschnitt aus unserem Staffeltraining vom letzten Freitag. Die Comm lief nicht zu jeder Zeit so rund wie sie sollte, aber deshalb trainiert man ja. Ramp Start und Mittelteil habe ich aus Gründen der Videolänge weggelassen. Ich hoffe, es gefällt dennoch. Klar fehlen ein paar übliche Elemente, mehr Außenansichten und ein Tacview (Bild-in-Bild) zum Beispiel, aber dieses Video diente mir in erster Linie zum Testen der Software. Da ich in den letzten 9 Monaten nur die Mirage (und ein wenig Tiger) geflogen bin, verkürzt sich bei zukünftigen Tutorials natürlich die Vorbereitungszeit, da alles aus'm ff kommt. Das hilft schon mal sehr. Sobald die Mirage feature-complete ist, folgen dazu Tutorials. Allerdings erst einmal nur die Themen, die wir auch in der Staffel nutzen. Also sehr wahrscheinlich kein Komplettpaket. In diesem Sinne, viel Spaß!

Hi Razbam, I asked several times in other threads but didn't get an answer yet, so here's a dedicated thread. I'm not on my pc, so I took a shot of Chucks tutorial: The countermeasures panel of the M-2000C has an knob for dispenser programs and the 3-way switch for the dispenser mode. Both aren't modelled at the time. So my question is: Is it planned to implement these functions? The A-10C has a similar panel, where you can entry/ edit your programms in cockpit. I think, that's not possible in the Mirage (at least, I don't see where this should be), so the solution should be via the aircraft options tab in the mission editor or via the kneeboards, like in the F-5E. If I'm read it correct, there are some functions of the Eclair panel (left side, canopy), which aren't implemented yet, as well. Is there an update planned? Kind regards, Fire

+1 There are already two free modules, one FC3 module and one DCS full-sim module. It is a lot of work to make such an simulation and should'nt be free, more than now. Employees have to be paid and a little bit profit would be nice, as well. If you find it a good idea to give away things for free, create your own FC/ DCS module in 2 to 4 years and offer it as for free. :music_whistling:

Hey tacno, some mates told me, the current alpha/ beta of UR is very good, but I like more release versions ... except DCS. :D Do you know or can you estimate, when you will publish the new UR version as release version? Thanks in advance, Fire

The new "add object" is a very nice feature, but ... it's not transmitted via the online debriefing, right? Every participent in the online debriefing has to add his own objects. :( Is it planned to transmit the added objects of the host in a future patch?

For upgrade questions of all Tomcat versions, I can recommend the magazine special "F-14 Bombcat" by Key Publishing. They wrote in round about 100 pages about the upgrade process after ODS from the A, A+ and B version to the finally D version (I know, we only get the B). A good read. Regarding the B-model for DCS: Will we get the targeting pod and GBUs, as well? According to the magazine, B versions were hot wired for the targeting pod and for delivering GBU-12/16. But the system couldn't connected to the old (analog) systems (Radar, INS).
