A Channel called "US Military" says "China shocked" ... Wonder, how the US Americans could argue, that the Sovjets and Russia are did/doing propaganda TV.

Look here: https://www.milais.org/publications.php Under GEMIL FLIP MAP and then "Air Refueling Anchors" for the charts. Edit: Here is one example:

I had charts for the real tanker tracks of the Luftwaffe over Germany and the Northern Sea. Will see, if I find it on my HDD. Edit: I already found this in the ATP_3342(B)_AAR_FixedWing_Rendezvous:

That's the sense of developing new weapons: Technologic superiority. The opposite is mass of weapons and/or plattforms. That's warfare in a nutshell. It hasn't to be "fair" or balanced. And DCS isn't a Battlefield (or any other multiplayer balanced game), it's a simulation.

First of all, I didn't flew the last 4 years, so maybe my perspektive is another as for the ones of you, who lived with every update. For myself, it's like to see anyone, who I saw not for years and he lost some 20 Kilogramm for example. (best comparison I know) I looked at the Black Sea Map (and IMO it should called Blacksea map, not Caucasus anymore, beacuse of the whole region) and was stunned at the map size, it get in the last years. I already flew LOMAC and Flaming Cliffs, so I know the old Caucasus map, with the Krim peninsula. Now, the map is whole 815 NM x 460 NM (or 1.500 Km x 850 Km) large, inluding a larger part of northern Turkey, as in the past. They already include the Bosporus, the way to the Mediterranean Sea. And I see a lot of VORs in the Ukraine, I don't remember in the DCS 1.5 version some years ago. Did you notice these things, too? Btw: 2 maps more in the region (North Aegean Islands/Marmara Sea and Desert Storm aka Iraq/Kuweit/Northern Saudi Arabia) and we had a gigantic map with multiple real conflicts from the past 40 years or so. IMO a good starting point, for a global map. The not details areas without individual maps could be covered my low-res terrain-mesh (or only flat terrain) and low-res textures.

DCS: F/A-18C Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)

I understand. Seems, the modern subs use the WWII attack style, which ED implemented with the WWII assets pack, so they dive only to periscope depth. Sad, that there are no torpedos for AI helos/aircraft.
-
Yeah, I read that part. I was more concerned in the US types. Did you trie to attack with a complete dive, so that they can't attack you with their gun?
-
What does this mode?
-
I think, more modes to jam will come, if DCS gets someday a more simulated electronic warfare system. Since Lock On, there are only noise jammers. Hope, we'll get some day other forms of jamming, like ghosting. This will be fun.
-
Nice thread, thanks for testing these features. Did you already tested, what AI destroyers and fregattes do against a sub in their range? Do they fire with their gun, with anti-ship missiles (if dived off) or do they have water bombs or torpedos, too?

Nice app so far but I have some questions. First of all: How can I save my server settings? Every time I start the SRS Server, the settings are set back to default. Is it possible, to save my own settings for the server? Thanks in advance.

How to circle a Seahawk around a driving Carrier?
VTJS17_Fire replied to VTJS17_Fire's topic in Mission Editor
Cool, thank you very much! Can I also take the SH-60 AI without adapting the script? -
You won't see that, it's an FC aircraft. Be lucky, you have the PFM. And wait and hope, for the Strike Eagle, we maybe get by Razbam.

How to circle a Seahawk around a driving Carrier?

Thanks! -
Good to know, but I like it vanilla.
-
only AI, non-flyable - SH-60 Seahawk (high-poly version) - A-6E - EA-6B - A-7E - C-2A Greyhound - B-2 - KC-10 Extender (we had a low-poly version back then in FC) - US submarines (hunter and strategical) ... I know, that DCS World isn't compatible with submarine warfare yet (I read it here somewhere), but as strategical assets would be nice

Also doch alle Daumen hoch Oh, ja.

Hi, I want to circle a Seahawk helicopter to circle around a driving carrier (~ 100ft., 0.5-1NM) for a possible rescue of failed catapult starts/aircraft. Do any know, how to build this in the ME? Thanks in advance

Jane's Longbow was my first PC game ever and my first sim, too. That was on christmas 1996, IIRC. I loved this game and the tactics you could did with the radar and the Hellfires (pop-up tactics) and got into sims for many years (other Jane's titles, submarine sims, M1A2 Main Battle Tank sim and so on). Then, 2004, came Battlefield 2 with no sim-level but a multi-crew Cobra and I was stuck on the teamplay in one helo, flying very low and pop-up behind trees, houses and hills and that all with nice graphics. That was awesome, too. Now, both features will come to DCS. The revival of my first simulated helo-experience, that tactics and the later teamwork and graphics. As I saw the cannon and the radar in the video, I was flashed and hyped, like some many years ago with the DCS Tomcat hints. This is so fu**ing cool, just awesome. This helo after all these years.
