IIRC, the Hawk uses wires for communication between Radar and launcher. So technically, it should be possible. But I don't know, how DCS handles the communication between these units.

Ist es da nicht naheliegend, dass die eingestellte Preset-Frequenz im Homing Modus genutzt wird? :huh:

About airplanes or other military stuff, one of the best books is "F-15 - Eagle Engaged" by Steve Davies and Doug Dildy and "Wild Weasel Fighter Attack: The Story of the Suppression of Enemy Air Defences" by Thomas Withington.

My grandpa was 11 years old as the allies bombed Dresden (where I was born and lived until 11 years ago, he still lives there). The house he lived in was hit by a fire bomb and collapsed. The other two buildings/ doores left and right to it took no damage. He and his mother (his dad was stationed on the east front at this time) had to move to his ant. Two of his friends died this night. Earlier this year he gave me a sightseeing tour to this place and some other places, he lived in his early years. I loved it to listen to him and his stories. Unbelievable how this had to be.

In my opinion, jamming/ ECM didn't and don't have a high priority in Lock On and DCS yet. I hope this will change with the F/A-18C and it's armament (HARM, TALD) and the continuous development of SAM units in Combined Arms. For me, jamming don't have to be simulated at a full real level. Yes, there should be a gamdesign for this stuff but ED should be able to simulate these different jamming techniques. Question is: Do they want?

According to some AWACS controllers (which I met at different ILA shows) one full rotation needs 10 seconds, so 6 updates per minute. Do you have some hints for the chat or is this a known bug? (see above)

Hi tacno, today I tested the radio scanner but it didn't worked. :( What I did/ checked: - connected to LotATC blue side - option "use UR": on - location: AWACS (E-3, blue side) - started the radio scanner - set the frequency for radio 1 to the AWACS frequency (251.000) - set the frequency scan pattern from 200 to 390 MHz All blue aircraft talked at 327.00 MHz (Nellis Tower) or another frequency between 251.00 and 280.00 MHz, but I didn't get a signal. They used the V/UHF radio (which isn't secured,right?) or the UHF (Aux) radio, but without the secured mode. Did I forgot something important? kind regards, Fire

That's not true. The M-2000C uses the DCS ECM signal to create false targets on its VSD. That's not correct too (because the same signal can't be a noise on radar A and a false target an Radar B [same generation]), but it shows that DCS could handle different jamming techniques.

Hi, because the F/A-18C and F-14A+/B is in development, we need some more Navy assets in DCS. Razbam is working on some ships (incl. a LHA) which is very nice, in my opinion. But for the U.S., we only have 3 ships at this time. The planned carrier DLC includes only two carriers (one american and one russian), as far as we know. We don't have other western ships, no subs, too. I would also like to see an updated S-3 3D modell, as well as an AI controlled A-6 and EA-6. The modell of the E-2 is very nice, but it's the only modern looking AI navy united, besides the current AI Hornet. The Seaking modell (is it an SH-3, I don't have DCS here yet) is also outdated. best regards, Fire

A suggestion: Could you split the radar picture update rate in two? One for the AWACS (with 6 updates/ rotation per minute) and one for tower/ airbase radars? They should have a much higher updfate rate for ATC controlled approaches, than the AWACS. But I don't know the real update rate yet.

Hi DArt, I noticed that in the latest version, the "coalition only" chat doesn't work. If I type any text in the LotATC chat, it doesn't show up in the DCS chat. The "chat to all" function works fine. On the other side, it seems that chat messages from DCS doesn't appear in LotATC. I observed this issue for all chat modes from DCS to LotATC. best regards and keep up the good work. :thumbup:
