  1. Maybe cause the litening pod is just a place holder that they didn't bother updating cause it will get removed eventually.
  2. Don't forget that for every new aircraft there need to be AI version done as well so you can fly with wingmen. MiG-29 already has AI in DCS, but F-35 doesn't. Building AI takes time too.
  3. Hi @avimal, That one is very easy to set up and you can find one in User Files, for example: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306414/
  4. Yep agree, might be ok to post a tail pic to tease once in a while
  5. It's reported afaik, and that I think is wht problem with SPI, they had the same problem with previous pod.
  6. Just get set up correctly under the tanker and the boom operator will connect, easier than hornet imo.
  7. I agree, its not the Sniper, its other pods that are not adjusted for time frame. I doubt ATFLIR doesn't lose on image quality when zoomed in back in 2005 (hornet time frame), which is the case now in the hornet.
  8. Much easier to boresight in the air, you can lock Maverick onto something first then slew your TGP on the same target and hit boresight.
  9. Off course PvP to be any fun requires balance, but simulation doesn't, it only requires to be as realistic as it can be. Cause simmers wanted realism, and that doesn't include balance
  10. Them having "cojones" or not is not the topic here. Reality is that there is no balance in real world. So F-35 or EF2000 or any modern jet can fit in any scenario.
  11. Some war happened very recently which involved F-35, among other modern fighters, vs very old US and Russian fighters that were operated by another country. So the idea of matching aircraft era to recreate real world conflict can go down the drain
  12. You guys went off topic here
  13. Really? But I see what you mean, the screws are missing. here is a really real example:
  14. Hi, please read manual and watch Wags videos: You'll get the idea
  15. Did you do "Ready pre contact"?
  16. Yeah you said this video is 11 years old etc... but you forget that our F-16 is 18 years old. If you have 18 years old video we would love to see it. Not defending ED here, I'd love more detailed pic but I would rather have realism. Images you posted earlier have no date on them or they do? I hope you understand that for your claims you need to have some concrete evidence not just hear say from some guy you said is a pilot, who is actually active pilot and uses sniper pod right so he never saw a sniper pod version from 18 years ago. Just getting some facts out in the open from what you type here.
  17. You can find it in your DCS folder - DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Doc
  18. Nice to see Manual updated same time the pod released, good job
  19. Came across this quite interesting lecture about aerodynamics and lift generation:
  20. Best video I could find is this one, uploaded 11 years ago, but can't know when it was actually recorded (must be some time before upload time but no info when) so it might be the same as our pod or some different version. Image quality seems better than what we have but I'm not sure we have the same version. Symbology suggests its mounted on F-16.
  21. Ahh, no the switch doesn't move by it self, the INS switches to NAV digitally when aircraft is moving regardless of the switch position. That's why INS knob has to be set to NAV prior to take off. It is not an auto start thing, it is like that in real aircraft.
  22. But if you didn't switch to NAV and it is still in NORM when aircraft stops moving it should resume alignment. Auto NAV will happen as long as there is at least degraded alignment acquired. You still have to switch to NAV prior to take off tho, which he didn't do Page 169 F-16C Manual.
  23. You don't have to put INS knob to NAV after ALIGN starts blinking, as soon as the INS senses aircraft movement it will set to NAV automatically. If you watch the video you will see that's exactly what happened when it started rolling.
  24. Hey, user error I'm afraid. You have to wait till ALIGN on the HUD and RDY on the ICP start flashing, at that time aircraft alignment is ready. As far as I know Auto Start is using Normal Alignment which takes longer than Stored Alignment, you just needed to wait till ALIGN and RDY is flashing.
  25. Hey @ChillNG Mission 13 in Weasels 2, I think this shouldn't happen: Can barely get through since this jet in front doesn't move.
