Summer Sale - Question

Hi Guys,

I just bought the following modules this week with my 2nd account (REDACTED). I already have them all with my first account (REDACTED).

* P51

* Dora

* FW190

* UH1H

So my question is: is it just my bad luck I paid full price for duplicate copies within 5 days of the summer sale that I didn't know was coming? Do I just suck it up and live with it or is ED really kind and looking to credit my account the difference?

I'm not grumpy or anything just wondering

Thanks

X9

Don't know about the rest ( as i own most them). However, the newsletter staes that "FC3" and it's sundry modules is 70% off.

Newsletter:

"DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3: $39.99 to $11.99 (70% off)"

With dollar transfer rate, it actually makes a big difference,

Newsletter

The newsletter I received indicated that the Huey was 70% off.

$50 - 70% 35

50-35 = 15 or 14.99 or indicated in newsletter.

Will the newsletter discounts be applied to Steam purchases?

Thanks Ethereal,

Question is: I've just bought 4 additional modules just 5 days ago, not realizing the sale was about to start. Is that just too bad?

I'm also confused.

Have quoted the email I received below.

At these prices im very interested, but at the prices online I'd have to limit my number of purchases.

Also a side question, is there an option to buy all modules as a package?

Concur with JPL. It's just good business to honor the email newsletter prices, especially since we're not talking about an obvious error (the percentages in the email match the discount price).

I already know of a couple of people who will be peeved at the apparent "bait and switch", even though this is obviously not intentional. ED should "suck it up" and go with the prices as distributed in the email.

In the future, ED should QA any prices that go out in mass distribution; you can't change an email like you can a forum post.

FWIW, I already have all of the modules, so this doesn't affect me. I have no dog in this fight.

I find this very disturbing. If you offer a sale - honor the prices.

There is a sale, albeit at slightly edited/rectified values/numbers. ED made a mistake and apologized. Accept it and move on. As said, items are still on sale. No need to quibble over a couple of dollars.

A couple of dollars - how about a 50% difference in the three titles I went to purchase? From $33 to $49. Add to that - no correction email, no posting on the web-store, no clear posting about the error in the forums - just individual threads.

Send an email regarding the error, and, put a clear posting on the web-store and at least that shows due diligence.

Shame. I was going to buy a couple things at the prices listed in the email. Guess i'll pass now.

Am yet to see an apology or an amended email.

If this was accidental it should have been corrected immediately.

Until an official email correction arrives it is a bait and switch as far as I'm concerned.

Curious to know how this plays out.

I've seen other places have a grace period where they will give you a store credit for the difference.

It was a simple mistake, they have posted in the forums about the error, there was no sort of ill intentions, case closed.
