Can be reproduced, seems that it depends on the sun and aircraft position/orientation.

Can confirm. Had a spin in the Sabre the other day, and had the same happen.

Hey NineLine!

Start/up and taxi tutorial mission should demonstrate it.

This effect appears when you turn left on the taxi way.

That is a fairly old bug. It occurs in all missions when the sun is at a low angle behind you.

Yeah, I opened my big mouth too fast and it happened the next flight, so it's reported, thanks guys. I dont have as much time in the Sabre so help on these things is MUCH appreciated.

Was flying yesterday on the Korea MP server, and this bug made it literally impossible to join the fight because on the route to the AO the sun was exactly at my 6 and at the right angle to make that area of the dashboard blindingly white.

A fix for something so simple would be nice after 2 years....

Hi all

We are chasing it up, but have no news to share currently.

You may find turning off global cockpit illumination in DCS settings helps as a workaround.

I flew Korea MP server for half hour couple days back and did not experience it, still have never experienced it.

I don't use global illumination though as the big man says so may be worth unchecking that for sure

I have seen this in an early morning intercept mission I made. From that video above, it appears to be a layering issue with the light reflections. That highlight box appears on the top layer, even inside the ejection seat shadow. It's quite bright too and a bit of a shock.

I checked the cockpit in modelviewer, it's not the shader maps... Must be something with the lighting or the 3d model that makes the gi lighting go nuts.

Thanks. But is that a missing texture error or not? Maybe a low light angle issue on the model? Been away from this stuff for a long time and not really fluent on the DCS or recent generation anyway.

No way:blink: no way!!!.... I thought the hell would freeze over before the Sabre would be touched again by ED... but I was wrong. In the current Open Beta I can't reproduce this lighting bug. Can someone confirm that? I also checked the Stable. There this bug doesn't appear also.

Btw, I stumbled across a video I recorded, which dates this bug back to 25.06.2017(yes, 2017). I don't know, why I didn't report it back then.

And the canopy glas bug is gone too, but that thread is closed.

Now ED, smash the other Bugs, like the ailerons or amount of bullets or etc.., please!! I love the Sabre, such a beautiful plane. She and her Sister MiG need more love from ED.
