Yeah, there was something super secret going on yesterday. Maybe the picture will return on Sunday when Wags does the Mirage 2000 video.

Wait, what pictures got deleted? What did I miss?

I think one of the questions was misunderstood: When asked about beacons.lua, I think the intent of the question was whether the M-2000C would implement ED's core navigation beacon support, or whether they would roll their own system like Leatherneck did with the MiG-21?

On that note, it would be neat if ED's core system could have a set of historic nav aids for the map, indicating not just what's there today, but what was there, say, during the 1970s or similar, prior to the breakup of the USSR. Maybe a mission designer could select what "period" they want to simulate for navigation.

Not using RSBN / PRMG I wouldn't have thought it would make so much difference to the Caucasus map.

With NTTR being a western map, and the Mirage being a western aircraft, I would imagine it uses ED's core Tacan/ILS nav data?

That was a good Q&A. The answers given by Zeus were short but precise and, what I really appreciate, they seemed honest! Thank you for that

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

As Gospadin said, it´s the use of the ED´s core navigation system. Even the Hawk (I don´t know about the C-101) uses an "own system" and it´s a western plane.

All systems (NDB for ADF/ARK, ILS, VOR, TACAN, PAR, RSBN, PRMG...) are available in the beacons.lua and beacondata.lua with associated models and everything you need since Blackshark 1.0.

It´s in the hands of the developer to use it or make their own system.

For now only ED and BST use this system, I don´t know why.

But I think Zeus (or the developers team) has given good answers for this Q&A.

Thanks!

Q: Any chance to see a difference on afterburner colour between day and night like a real life ? ( yellow/orange at day and white/blue at night)

A: Never though of it. Sounds interesting.

Good QA, but this really made me wonder - "never thought of it" - well, the FSX/P3D version has different colored afterburners for day and night so apparently someone in the development team has thought about it.

Guys can some help me. Perhaps it was in the q and a. Will the campaign and training missions be available with beta release.

F14 by choice, F18 by mandate.

Peace the old fashioned way.

Man why not read the transcript of the Q&A if you're interested in the module :smartass:

Not really a day/night thing (not only) - it depends on a ton of atmospheric parameters I couldn't be able to quote. Day AB plume can go purple/blue-ish (although rather rare) and night plume can be very yellow/orange (more frequent than blue plume actually). It's more or less the same for all ABs.
