Silver_Dragon Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 the forum info show 1.2.8 can be "release" the F-15 AFM. Su-27 AFM and EDGE come be late (SUBJECT TO CHANGE TM). tomcatter Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Tomcatter. I notice your affiliation with VF 31. Are you only interested in an F18 for DCS or like me do you long to one day see a Tomcat as well? Hornet, Corsair, Phantom, Skyhawk....... And of course THE Tomcat... I always prefer the naval aviation, maybe Top Gun made so much damage in my brain when i was young ¡¡¡¡¡ I have been always impressed for the skills of the naval aviators, I think that the catapult launches, the tail hook, night ops, moving your aircraft on a flatop, parking it 5 feet from the ocean, and the life on a boat make them the best aviators out there... And of course my friend , do that inside the cockpit of a F-14 and you will be the coolest guy in the world......or on the ocean Edited March 7, 2014 by tomcatter spelling

Pinefang Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 So in DCS is the A-10c an AFM. I assume it is but would just like clarification.
AegisFX Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 So in DCS is the A-10c an AFM. I assume it is but would just like clarification. Yep. I believe the SU-25T is an AFM craft as well. If you want to know, I think a good way to figure it out is watch a plane's taxi process. Is it really using the suspension? If so, AFM. AegisFX Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Welp, that's what I get for being so basic in my reply. However, the f-15, and none of the other FC3 craft will actually buckle and crash if you are taxiing at high speed. Performing an uneven landing will cause little to no trouble. Meanwhile, the A-10C will tip completely over at high speed turns, can and does lose it's wheels due to bad landings. That's what I meant by saying "Does it use it's suspension". I obviously should have been more specific here. Grim_Smiles Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Yeah someone was jumping the gun, ED has only said the cockpit and external model is being worked on for the MiG-29. There definitely hasn't been mention of an AFM yet for it. And I'd expect that to be awhile since they basically have to make more than one cockpit for the Fulcrum.
