It would really be cool if ED would have a built-in Mod Manager for certain types of mods, like all these objects. Like other games have that allow you to install/enable mods in the options. And have a repository for them. Like many have pointed out, these types of mods(objects) can break missions, but also add a lot of realism and immersion to the game. It would make the game better and remove the workload of creating these objects from ED. Yea, it's one more thing they have to do... But it would add 10x to the realisim and end user experience. Just my 2¢

 

ED will probably never support mods and having a built in manager would be like officially doing so. If you can live with something that is not build in, you might want to give a try to OVgme that offers basically all what you are asking for (but maybe you already knew that).

 

BlackSharkDen is running on this software with an online repository that allows our pilots to update at a push of a button the different BSD Mods Packs whenever they are updated.

 

Mods are even more critical to choppers that we are flying in a place (low and slow) where details count a lot, and objects today offered basic on DCS cater more for missions aimed at the high flyers.

Thanks, yes, I've been using Ovgme for a long time. And you are probably right that Ed won't ever support mods in general.

 

But I think if they ever sat down and reviewed the plethora of object content out there, the huge value it adds for free, and the workload it off loads to users, they might consider it someday? Set some standards and rules to help it be organized.

 

Oh well, I'm probably dreaming..

How do you install this?

 

Hi there... How do you install this as there are no directions in the zip file.

Also where should the sound folder go?

Convert to EDM is not the problem ... the problem is that we dont have the original 3D Studio files of each vehicle and object, and those 3D files are needed in order to recreate the EDM files.

That’s a shame, I love this mod the objects were fantastic and realistic. I hope this comes back

Armscor Mod

 

Hi guys. Not sure how many of you play Arma 3 or Squad and have seen the awesome Armscor mod...

 

It's all been pretty much made by one guy and I spoke to him a while back about converting them for DCS. He was keen but as you can well imagine, was way too busy to get it done. I would have done it, but I'm far too thick, unfortunately.

 

However, if I could still get the 3D Studio files, would this be a task one of you would want to take on...? It would be so cool to have for bush wars!

 

He's also done quite a few helo's and aircraft, so they might be worth looking into too. A Rooivalk with a Blackshark cockpit would be pretty sick me thinks! :prop:

Ozone1, these assets look great but I think you would probably have more luck creating a new dedicated thread for them in order to attract potential help.

Hi Guys, one small question.

Targets on the range need to be opfor or frinedly? Menaing If I am flying Blue do I put the targets as red or as Blue so it detetcts hits?

well it IS working again, fellows. I just made a mission with them and show OK on ME, and thats why I am asking should my tragets be my colaition or teh enemies....

I didnt.

I just Installed them in Saved games and are working Fine.

Havent tested impacting them with ammo but they show up in the ME both static and active objects...

I am certenly NOT seeying artifacts or invisible things with Rangers 79's.

 

I do have trouble with some VPC objects, that are invisible...

OH CRAP!! made a huge mistake, i am so sorry.. Its not Rabngers 79 that is working is 476 Range Objects....
