i tried with a-10 and su-25 to test fps. i have fps drop with same aircrafts:(

Dont know if its just me but updater goes 0.6mb/s to 0.9mb/s. :cry: It would be nice to give us a torrent

 

Updater is weird. I was at 400kB/s and didn't like it (I had to download 13GB), so I tried to close it and resume again. I did this a few times and noticed that my speed was constant each time, but very different between each download session. So I kept closing and opening my updater until I somehow "struck gold" and gained 5MB/s.

1.2GB update, took about 6 minutes. Steam. Destroyed three F15C's on landing, one TF51 engine and seriously scared some people with a sling load out of control. Nice.

Sorry if it has been asked already in this thread, but where can I get the 1.2.8. modules from?

The updater ran fine and updated 2006mb (~2GB), the files have all been transfered from DCS World to DCS Wolrd OpenBeta, but all modules are greyed out in my 1.2.8 installation. Forcing update just causes a very fast appear/dissapear of the updating window which ends up in starting the Game...no modules.

Did I missed somethings?

I installed the beta DCS today on steam, and since I bnought the modules on the ED site they weren't there, so I downloaded the installer of FC3 and p51 from the ED site, but it says I either I need 1.2.7 installed or I need 1.2.8 of FC3. How can I install the FC3 module?

 

There is no module manager in the steam DCS version menu.

maybe reinstall of Beta?

You have to install modules again, using Module Manager (though, it should offer you to install all your modules once you log in for the first time).

Unfortunately, he is now off-line and in bed, so I've no idea how he did that.

 

He said that OB updater never copy the mod from 1.2.7 to OB, so try to manually copy the mod files and then do repair or update

Take your ED module keys and activate them in Steam. How To's here:

I'd advise against it.

 

It's better to install OpenBeta using web installer, it will download the same amount as if you converted your existing install. This way you will get a standalone OpenBeta with a separate Saved Games folder.

to make it short, I have no options to install any modules, as there arent any in my 1.2.8 Module Manager...I now uninstalled everythings and try to install it all again, hope this will help.

Do we again have to remap all our controls? Or can we take the 1.2.7 files?

BTW why did we have to create new control files in 1.2.7 bet when we didn't need that eventually in 1.2.7 official release?

Where can we report beta bugs?

 

I found quite lots in F-15C, you probably know about them already but still:

 

- Engine intakes are not moving when in flight (add or remove throttle nothing happens they just stay at same position all the time)

- Fuel indicators: wrong quantity for left and right wing

- RPM gauges go to 96 when full AB, should go to 110?

- TEMP gauges do not go up when in AB

- barometric alt+1 or H altitude hold not working

 

Thats about it after 1 hour of joy :)
