Hi, guys!

I got a feature request for the F-15C: is the functioning switches like the step by step startup/shutdown procedure, functioning radios, and more functioning systems like in the DCS P-51D.I really enjoy flipping switches!!! Thanks!

Cheers,

Vincent

On second thought, I am imagining things... Is it possible to keep the current SSM, but activate those cockpit switches available in the SSM? Though I have no idea how much effort this conversion will require.

The usefulness of this is mainly for FC3 players when Oculus Rift comes out. We will have no problem when this is coupled with the laser mouse bound to a finger, as someone posted somewhere in the forum.

I would much prefer ED to concentrate on other things than throwing resources down that line for nothing really .

It would have no effect on the game , apart from "flicking a switch" ..... !!!

We will pass your request to ED and I think they will be able to release clikable version of F-15C next week xD

What The F-15 needs way more than a clickable cockpit is full hotas functionality. Multi-mode buttons like what exists for the A-10 module, would allow people to setup their joysticks very much like the real F-15. Even more so with those with the warthog stick, which is most of what makes the F-15E hotas, that I believe the latest F-15Cs mirror minus the A-G functions. The drop tank fuel consumption logic is still broken with 3 tanks, so the lack of manual control there is great annoyance. Outside of that the flicky switches are meaningless without all the avionics features. Most what you need to do with the F-15 should be done via the stick or throttle, and for those with a competent HOTAS would have ample buttons and switches to re-purpose as needed.

Clickable cockpits? What sorcery is that? I doubt that something like that will ever be possible ...

unbeliever xD

Simple suggestion; a better way to cycle thru waypoints / ILS specifically cycle backwards thru waypoints. When I'm trying to find the correct ILS point I sometimes overshoot then have to go thru them all again. Thx!

(As for clicking switches, if I'm in the mood I'll just play A-10C :-)

I'm not coordinated enough to click virtual switches when I'm going Mach 2 with my hair on fire (joking.. ;-)

Why the hostility for click-able pits, as a UX feature it is a godsend when learning and flying an aircraft and FSX had this and that was released in 2006.

Not really hostility, more like sarcasm: everyone likes them and wants them but also realises the amount of work that needs (not just cockpit switches but the systems they are linked to).

Radio freq display

It would be cool if the radio freq numbers on the front dash changed to the freq number of the entity to which you were making a radio call to. It may help the player keep track of where they sent the last radio call to, and would make those controls more than just static scenery. (Albeit very cool looking scenery ;-)

This.

Played the Baz mission last week, completely lost track of where I was going when I accidentally cycled through a waypoint and was trying to find it again.

F-15C Engine sounds

First off, I love the new AFM and it's sound effects! Hopefully it only gets better. One of my wishes is that the startup procedure works and sounds exactly like the real F-15. But, that isn't the reason I'm posting. I was hoping that the developers would take note of a little realized sound that the PW-F100 family of engines make when the throttles are pushed out of idle power. It's something that can definately be heard and it is perfectly illustrated in a utube called "F-16 Full Afterbun." Check it out! It's an F-16 doing a full power ground maintenance engine run. You can hear the sound everytime the throttle is pushed forward.
