After getting the controller configuration problems sorted out I'm happy to say all of my VIKHR's have hit dead on!

Not on me.... :(

Great update by content. Lots of bugs got in from ground units behavior to missing controls in planes etc. But overall great update. Would give 7/10 rating (in my scale it is a lot).

Now I wish there is coming more content like the Mig-21Bis and EDGE so I can spend more money to support DCS developers....

Yes, DCS is truly a masterpiece, and it keeps getting better! I am a customer for life. Thank You.

It's really soothing on the the nerves to see some positive praise posts!

1.28 is awesome. I nearly posted my positive feelings in the "pvp'rs thread" whingeing about supposed loss in FPS (to 46FPS one person noted) but instead i found the happy place to post and came here to praise ED because what ED set in motion a few years back is going to turn out like our dreams came true. A modular and authentic battle system right down to the rivet.

To think that people are complaining of a reduction of FPS when they get an F-15 AFM is the kind of insanity only the Internet can provide. Half those people don't even understand the contribution of CPU to FPS. They judge FPS as some kind of "life score" sadly.

I get why we need the FC3 crew and the pvp'rs and I can deal with it, just as long as we don't trade quality for simplification.

Personally, i'd love to ringfence them all on their simple flight models made for a hacked 32bit OS on a little server with a ladder league and web stats for epeen grooming, there is a place for that, it just doesn't mix very well with the intelligent crowd.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if all their network lag inducing tools they use to escape missile kills are running their performance into the ground anyway, I remember years ago playing a game called world of warcraft where the same people would use tools to make them jump and skip all over the place to make them impossible to face. I'm quite sure that same tool is being used on the DCS servers and running everyone's game into the ground.

Never mind FPS. Where was your ping when we needed stability you monkeys?

Do I need an installer for 1.27? Is 1.27 the current version?

Any help would be appreciated....

1.2.8 is the current version, and since it's out of beta now you can use the updater.

I think EDGE might warrant a version 2.0? with all flyables.. Su27, 33, Mig 29 AFM and 6dof cockpits. ;)

More realistically... flanker AFM with 1.2.9 would be fantastic. Although..I think realistically it might be atleast 1.3.0.

I was guessing that Flanker PFM was ready to be released. It wasn't included in 128 simply because ED did not want to squeeze too many things into one update, lest the response and bug reporting is too overwhelming... But it's my guess only, and nothing more.

Sorry, but I'm looking forward to Nevada more than anything. That and more study sim modules. PFM's are a step in the right direction but only half way there. It's all about the clickable cockpit and full systems fidelity for me.

I can understand the sentiment. I think I would've preferred an area along the USSR/NATO boundaries.

Also, not sure if you're aware, but the flight and system modeling are separate. That said, I'm waiting on a US multi-role unit, hopefully of the carrier-borne variety.. and dedicated servers.

Love the sim, love the 1.2.8 patch. The only downside to all this enthusiasm is that new content isn't rolling in fast enough. Come on, take my money already. :)

Can someone kindly tell me the approximate size of the update with 2 DCS level modules installed? I have limited data ~2.3GB to last me 4 days. Thanks.

I had everything but CA installed (modules) and it was about 2.6GB download.

EDGE sounds interesting but I hope it will have the terrain variety of the original territory, which is key to me, especially with the combination of fighters and helicopters.

I'm sure it will make sense when it releases, though.
