:(

it is known that the two big F15 inlet and a well-known event in Broken wing landing ,Proof that The F15 is Not a lack of lift, but the low-speed AFM 's F15 state too weird , the flap Open Close does not take any effect , open flap should be a clear effect, but I did not feel that, flaps will accelerate the aircraft stall , this is too weird ;

:cry:

inexplicable yaw and roll , which reminds me of this is SU25T, well known SU25T difficult to fly , but hard to fly does not mean that is real.

:doh:

Not fighting with SU27, the operation will lose a little speed and accompanied by a fatal rollover , which told me that I was not fly F15C but SU25T, I thought it was realy like SU25T;

:thumbup:

In addition to the AFM F15 is good , cornering and acceleration, more than 400 still for you, but that was too deadly rollover recommended ED grounded all F15C fix this flaw,This plane is substandard:D

yyyyeah good question...was it a question?

I'd just go by the progression of emoticons he used. It seems something was sad and/or upsetting, but then it all turned out alright. :thumbup:

Sorry, but real F-15 pilots don't seem to agree with your opinion.

Eagle Engaged states that flaps only effect stall/approach speed by 3-5 knots. They only have them because Air Force insisted.

If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public.

One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.

So is this all simply speculation, and assumption, or is there any empirical evidence to support this?

I presume he is a real world F-15C pilot or something? Or is his best mate a friend of a guy that knows someone who works at an air force base that has seen F-15s from across the apron, in the kitchen he works in, and he reckons that there might be something wrong?

I'm just curious as to why this may be, or may not be a fact.

In other words, I shall post an emoticon stating my position on all this...

Laughing cause a thread that amassed a whopping 5 replies was necro-bumped from more than two years ago.

And it looks like you're the first one who noticed that, since 5 people already commented after the necromancy happened and treated it like nothing has happened :lol:

I noticed, but I didn't want to say anything - mytai01 seemed to be on an 'Eagle Engaged' spree.

Personally I prefer 'statements' from the -1 performance charts :)

Incidentally, flaps lower stall speed by about 12kts on average IIRC for the F-15, and they don't do anything about dropping your nose lower on landing.

What's going to happen with a no-flap approach is that you will land a lot faster and probably more pitch-sensitive.

It's not good for your ground run distance, it's not good for the tyres, and probably requires a bit more finesse.

Well, surely at the same airspeed there is an attitude difference whether flaps are up or down...

Sure Stuge, but here's the thing: You land (well, approach) the eagle at 21uAoA. That's all there is to it - there's no 'nose will be higher at that speed' ... because it's not the speed that's the relevant measure for landing, but the AoA. The AoA will determine whether you're stalling, bouncing on landing, or getting things just right.

Did anyone work out what the supposed problem was?

Emoticon diarrhea.

Hah, yes there was certainly that. I think the alleged problem was that not having flaps down during landing should produce a greater effect on aircraft handling...?

Personally, if it's been signed off by actual F-15 pilots I'll take it as being fairly realistic.

The purpose of flaps used on landing is to increase an aircraft's descent rate without an increase in airspeed.
