It works fine in most cases, but I guess in complex issues..especially if you have checked...synchronize controls with HOTAS at beginning of mission in options, sometimes it goes all haywire. But I personally have found it is alright. Although...the whole training system.. triggers are also broken. I was flying through the new 25T training missions and missing one "gate" in a particular "approach" for the autopilot modes training & the dumb bombs training broke the lesson.

 

In track playback..I have had issues of the bombs falling short etc.

The track feature is kind of messy. It tends to become less and less accurate over time. Basically, the longer the track, the greater the chances of seeing it go crazy.

 

On the other hand, maybe you were not flying, and you were in fact standing in the grass for ten minutes. You never know.

The thing is that it doesnt record the flight as video. It records ur input and when replaying it simulates ur actions. Thats the reason why replays of older dcs versions are strange in the new software. Sometimes it doesnt record ur input 100% correctly and thats the point were all is getting messed up... Hard to fix for the ed team and problem is there since many years. Only good solution is recording by urself using video capturing

Well, the "replay" in this beta is BEYOND broken.

 

Every single track is useless and so far from the truth it's not even funny.

 

"I'm pretty sure i did NOT crash into the ground after 2 minutes and then stared that the map for another 20 minutes" (latest "replay" )

Keep in mind that dynamic weather aka changing wind conditions mess up tracks no matter what. Your recorded control input never matches the random wind gusts...

It probably would be good if you could post the tracks that don't work for you anymore on here.

 

I did a flight in beta today, where I watched the track 5-6 times, and it would allways show the flight from takeoff to landing just fine.

Track replay problems have little or nothing to do with the beta. There is, and always has been, a basic flaw with track replay.

Meh, maybe i'm being too simple about this , but for me :

 

1) Tracks work fine in Non-beta

2) Tracks do NOT work in beta.

 

Always end up in the grass upon take off according to sh^tty replay beta crap .

 

Maybe the replay function hasn't been properly tuned with the new flight model of the F15 ?

Did you fly any AFM planes in non-Beta?

A-10C had problems with tracks since earliest betas. When dynamic weather is used and wind changes AFM is definitely affected, because it calculates flight behaviour in real time.

When you fly a SFM plane (Flaming Cliffs SU-27 or the current F-15C prior to 1.2.8) this may be not an issue, cause simplified flight model is using script to model behavior...

Just to clarify for you.

 

F-15C Tracks I have of 1.2.8 Open Beta 1 dont work in 1.2.8 Open beta RC1 or RC2..

 

Why, because the recorded control inputs for 1.2.8 1 are the same while the FCS/AFM for RC1 and RC2 are different.

 

Also any changes to views or pausing causes desync, any changes to input or screen resolution causes desync.

In 1.2.7 I flew a practice landing mission with the Huey. I made a replay of it and then recorded the playback with Fraps. The limited edit (just changed the cams) is at Vimeo and you can see it there:

Around 1:25 or so, the view makes a mistake and shows a broken scene. Again, around 1:50 it jumps a bit.

 

Don't know if this helps, but 1.2.7 had some issues, as well.

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

I am unable to reproduce, my replays seem fine, I am not fast forwarding or anything, and most missions I have tried this on are pretty simple.

 

I think it has something to do with the new "s" thing when taxi-ing

oh and sidenote

 

In 1.2.7 i can fast forward replay infinitely (well i've gone up to 20x no probs or lags, stronk computer) , but in beta i can barely fast forward 4, 5 times ?

Still having problems with replay function

 

Most of my replays go sour really soon.

 

It starts with the taxi-ing, according to most replays i end up in the grass before i even take off.

 

What could cause this ?
