in this case you were lucky that you got a fresh and callow guy as opponent with big face but with small experience in the eagle pit :D as Skate wrote: "Worst F-15 Maneuvering Ever"

but i maintain my statment that eagle was too heavy for the dogfight

by the way: was "he" the server ? and did he (his name: COME IN?) kick you out when/after he ejected ?

I got kicked because I had to TK him to defend myself. Of course it took a relatively dumb eagle pilot for this to be pulled off, full fuel or not. I just think it is funny that this was possible against ANY human pilot.

Now that the release of DCS WWII is different than the original concept, what is the situation with those who were choose FW-190D9 beta or DCS World version of the plane when now it seems that even those who pledged 40$ will get the plane in 5 of august?

is there anymore a meaning of the Beta and to have a separate DCS World version?

Also i want to know if there is still a meaning for the Alpha Access?

I want to know because if there is no meaning for a DCS World version and a Beta for the FW-190D9, and Alpha Access anymore, so i'll change my Backer's Rewards to something else.

Thx

I´d like to know, too. It´s known that ED have to clarify their own position on this before going public and it´s still a while until Aug 5, but does the DCSWWII-Alpha Access still have any significance as a digital reward?

Otherwise I´d choose my DCS Fw 190 D-9 reward.

Post redacted due to Wags most recent and excellent update :pilotfly:

Don't hold your breath, if you read exactly what Wags wrote in the first post...

DCS WWII: Europe 1944 is still planned as a single-package option, or users can purchase individual components to integrate into DCS World.

It seems to me that if you want these DCS Modules like the FW-190 now (well, August), you have to pay for them, otherwise you have to wait for the Single Package WWII:Europe 1944 stand alone title...

Good news indeed! Still its a long waiting time for me for a thoroughly modelled 109K October 2014... curiously enough exactly at the 70th anniversary of the service introduction of the real thing! :)

That's my take on it too

but this would be somehow contradicting Wag's last update:

How this relates to DCS: WW II backers…

This pre purchase is target towards non-DCS: WW II backers. Although we are still tuning the rewards program, any backer contributing $40 or more will get the Dora as part of their rewards. Backers will get their keys prior the Dora release.

In the July update, I hope to have a clear explanation of the changes coming to the reward system.

As a pre purchase, this only provides a key; it does not make the aircraft available to fly prior to the August release date. The sole advantage of doing the pre purchase for non-DCS: WW II backers is the 20% discount.

Thanks

I dont believe that is the case anymore, that was when it was an RRG project, they had limited ability to hand out ED stuff... now thats changed for obvious reasons... There shouldnt be anyone that has to wait till release of DCS WWII.

Well I can't say that I'm surprised. I'm hopeful that I'll at least get the aircraft I pledged for and the printed manuals. I'm actually more reassured that DCS has taken over the project. I don't have any malice towards him, however I'll never put money down on any project Luthier is heading up in the future.

I am still kinda confused. I pledged 30$ and chose the Dora as a reward alongside to other planes. Will I get it in August to fly in dcs world or will I get it later to fly in dcs world or will I get it later to fly in a kinda separated product dcs 1944? Any clarification is greatly appreciated because I am asking myself if I should buy the Dora now as well.

As you dont get it till August you can probably wait for the July announcement, but what we know right now is this:

Under the original KS you would have had to wait until the WW2 package was released or at least beta.

As for now, the post linked below says KS supporters of $40 will get a key just ahead of this Augusts release. It does not explain lower contribution levels and aircraft selections. I'm sure they are trying to decide how it will work and get that info out before the pre-purchase sale ends so everyone can decide what to do.

Wait a while. Hopefully you'll know soon.

Well, I would be Ok as well with spending another 10$ additionally to the 30$ I spent during the KS campaign. Maybe that could be another option.

Did I get it right, that in July another announcement will be made?

I see that you are releasing Each of the WWII planes individually.. I didn't have a chance to get on the KS buy in so how will that affect me as far as buying each plane?

Are all the planes going to be released in one package? Can I donate now to get all the planes that are released in the future? Seems like the 40 or so bux was a steal to get all the wwii planes...

It was very much a steal. Initially, I threw a bunch of money at the Kickstarter. But, then decided to pull it all out. At the last minute, I put $40 back in with the following logic: The Fw190D9 was almost a done deal and alone was worth the $40, but if the project was finished, it could be $10 a plane or less. A great gamble. Still waiting to see it play (pay) out.

Wasn't this so unpredictable ?

http://bobgamehub.blogspot.de/2014/06/dcs-wwii-project-collapses-lead.html

"We raised early concerns given the track record of the devs. These were the people who gave us the self-confessed disaster that was IL2 Cliffs of Dover. Before that, was Project Galba, the Korean war sim that never saw light of day.

It beggared belief that a publishing house like ED/DCS would then agree to collaborate with this team, on a new sim - DCS WWII - and risk their brand value by doing so. They have now taken the consequences of that decision and cut their ties with RRG Studios, assumed control of the project again, and are trying to save their reputation."

Nothing to add.

Now let us hope for the best.

kind regards,

Raven....
