Paganus
Why? ED didn't run the KS and didn't get any of your money - they don't have ANY obligations in this. Oh, you're right. How silly of me. ED's not involved in this debacle at all.
txmtb
I guess this was inevitable. At least this matrix looks solid and that ED can pull it off. 20$ for any future module is fine by me. As long as they get done. That is all I care for now. I don't read it as being $20 for any future modules. You are getting a value of $20 a module for what you pledged. $50 = $20 P-51, $20 Dora, $9 Normandy map, and 2 $.50 pdf's. ED Team NineLine Posted July 7, 2014 ED Team Share Posted July 7, 2014 Oh, you're right. How silly of me. ED's not involved in this debacle at all. You are right, they are involved, they are trying to keep the project alive, and deliver the best WWII experience we have seen.... and they are trying to build it off the train wreck this has been so far... so yes, they are involved... komemiute
Their goal was to make the rewards reasonable financially as well as simplifying a extremely complex reward system. I doubt it has anything to do with being able to code a drop down or anything like that... its about the health of the project and keeping it manageable... Of course it's manageable now... they spammed P51 keys to everyone. Really really sad and upset. G00dnight
If I was ED's boss I think I would read this and say what the hell lets just pull the plug no KS backers get anything after all their contract was with RRG, And as we develop new aircraft we will just sell them as a Module, sure we lose customers but we also lose all the bitching and agro that goes with DCS WW2. Grim_Smiles
The planes we actually pledged for and are waiting for, will be sold at full price.... Unless we wait even longer for them to go on sale as well. Edit: Sithspawn pointed out I was incorrect in my understanding, disregard. Krause
I'm not happy at all with this tbh. I only backed 20$ but aiming just only for the FW 190! I already have the P-51 from day one. At least I want to have the option to decide and swap for what I paid for!

ED Team NineLine Posted July 7, 2014 ED Team Share Posted July 7, 2014 My understanding from what Wags posted was that we backers would not have to purchase the KS modules we didn't receive at full price, instead we'd pay $20 while everyone else would pay $40+ (or they wait for a sale). Maybe I have it wrong and someone can correct me on this. No, all modules you dont receive will need to be purchased at full price. jjohnson241
Confused. I'm a $40 Backer and I currently license the P-51D. I don't need or want a second P-51D key code. I'm assuming that my current P-51 key code will enable the aircraft in DCS WW2. Is that a correct assumption? If so, then my backer "reward" is the Dora and the Normandy map. Did DCS consider those backers who currently "own" a P-51 key in the revised scheme? Not unhappy, just confused. Siq6Six
I guess I don't think this is too terrible, but then I was at $110 and looks like I will have Alpha access to everything but the 262 which I will have to pay full price to get. I will say I will happily buy it when released and if there is a way to buy into the alpha, even if it's for more than $20 I'd likely pay for that too. I don't know if there are others that would do the same, but maybe something to consider to raise more funds from backers (and maybe others too?) if orchestrating it won't be a nightmare...
