I wonder when users are gonna realize, that posting repetitive "release?" threads over and over again count as redundant threads....

we don't need to open a new thread every week asking when something will be released.

I's sure in the mind of the OP to create a new thread with such a title was a way to get attention to his/her question, which it has. I'm not saying I agree with this method, but here we are again and again we are chasing our tails with nothing to show for an answer...YET.

There is no answer yet because there is no definite release date yet. Have no fear, it will be shouted from the rooftops when it is imminent, I am sure.

Cobra is working flat out it seems, and I am pretty damned sure he is the one who most wants this product to hit the shelves. Just cut the guy a little slack, he's on the case.

Sorry. It was not my intent to come off as a nagging Nancy for an answer, but to say this is where we keep going with this type of thread. No answers because there is simply nothing to give YET.

Leatherneck, and VEAO are both very good at keeping us updated on developments. There really isn't a need to ask the same questions again and again.

Somehow I don't think for a second they'd hold back vital information about when a product will be available. The problem is simply that they cannot answer the unanswerable question. A lot of processes are unquantifiable, and until all the necessary compliance and interfacing is completed, and their babies are totally polished and refined, they can't give a concrete release date.

Just keep watching and listening, and as soon as they know, we will know.

Doesn't that sound vague enough for you to give them the benefit of the doubt? Would you have preferred them to say "sometime in the future" or maybe "this year we hope", or even perhaps "when the time comes that we can announce with confidence, we will".

Don't you understand that when they are dealing with other agencies, they cannot predict for certain when anything will happen? Then there is the small matter of designing, setting up, and debugging the website that will deal with the sales and money transactions. How long does that take? How long does it take if one of the key guys falls ill for a while? If they come across a few difficulties interfacing all that with DCS, how long will it take to find the issues, solve them, and incorporate the changes?

In the military, there is a very apt saying - "a plan never survives contact with the enemy" It applies just as predictably when it comes to software development. You can make plans, you can make predictions, but you cannot predict what snags may appear along the way.

Just wait patiently, and when it's ready, it will be announced.

I hope to share more info with you soon.

In the interim, more promo copies went out today (a total of about 10) -- with some more later this evening. I'm sure some material from them will start popping up shortly.

We've got more exciting stuff in the pipeline, and I can't help but have a huge grin plastered all over my face when I think about it.

Now.. cue grumpy Acer1961.

It was supposedly 1 month away 2 months ago, but the grand majority of forum users believe it is coming soon.

Maybe in 2 or 3 months, who knows really. Any guessing at this point is just ~~~~speculation~~~~.

Lol at all of this. I would like to know many copies these 3rd party guys actually sell? I for one will probably wait to see youtube vids and other comments on the forum before I ever buy a third party aircraft again. Not much of a fan of non-nato air anyway...

release date this weekend?

I do recall that, but in all fairness it is up to ED's timing and quality checks. I dont blame them for not making an announcement on "possible" release dates anymore. Too many swings and misses! If they were on a baseball team they might be benched by now! ;)
