statrekmike Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 After getting the F-86 and noticing that it is missing some pretty key features (drop tanks...), I figured I would ask how complete this module is before getting it, are there any systems that are not yet put in?

NeilWillis Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Mine isn't very complete, not after I land it at least! Bits keep falling off, and I'm sure it can't be my fault. On the last landing it ended upside down with half a wing missing. And no, you can't have a track, it's too embarrassing!!
WinterH Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Mine isn't very complete, not after I land it at least! Bits keep falling off, Naah... bits didn't fell off mine, since the whole thing was in bits, tiny ones at that :D Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script
statrekmike Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 So the systems on the plane are all there? It is just missing rockets?

Eldur Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I think its still getting a couple types of rockets yet, but most everything else is in. That makes lots of sense as there are 2 rocket switches in front of the stick, above the bomb fuse selector. But I suspect there should be some electrical switches / circuit breakers for the gun pairs, at least according to this site it was possible to switch which guns would be fired by pressing the A (=gun) trigger inflight: http://www.focke-wulf190.com/starrbewaffnung2.htm
Belphe Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 OMG, would I want to see this in DCS:Dora! :joystick: Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Marrond Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I would like to ask about Dora completion too. For example I was unable to kill the engine pushing it to the limits. Is it simply not implemented yet or it was THAT beast of a plane? :)
ED Team NineLine Posted August 6, 2014 ED Team Posted August 6, 2014 I have killed the engine... what did you do? Track? Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
fastfreddie Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I've killed two engines already and one it record time from the beginning of startup (3 minutes and change). Messed around and hit the red MW50 tab on the left side and up she went. Killed another after I left it in the full throttle position(Start) with MW50 on in combat. It really didn't take long at all (less than nine minutes).

Sure would be nice against a lumbering B-17 though ;) There was a Dora 9 with the out weapons planned but I don't believe there is any evidence of this type (D9/R11 or R4 IIRC) ever making it into production. Eldur Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Its reported, I hope we will get different triggers for guns and cannons. Thanks... also, I noticed that the force feedback spring is not working so the stick gets the default "stiffness" and doesn't react to trim, speed or thrust. The shake effects prior to stalling are there, though. At least the F-15C I tested afterwards was totally fine, so i't related to the Dora. And I can't recall I've noticed something strange with the Sabre, and I bet, I would have noticed it :) I managed to kill the engine already. You need to try harder! Yes, this is not BoS OMG, would I want to see this in DCSora! That is most apparently not a Dora... look at the canopy. The A-9 and D-9 have a rounder shaped canopy, as well as some A-8s. The cannon's (4x 151/20s) tell it's an A-6 - A-8 then and if I'm not mistaken, it is indeed an A-6 as I tend to see some MG 17s there. A-7 and up have 131s. Compare with the drawings here: http://www.fmsc-dingolfing.de/focke_history/Focke_History.htm There have been other Doras with MK 108s and no MGs or other layouts though but they were pretty rare. OutOnTheOP Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) little? Did you really say little? LITTLE?! ok.. It is what it is: an energy fighter. That doesn't make it a BAD fighter, just means that you *probably* shouldn't get into turning fights with anything that has a faster turn than it... which is most any contemporary fighter. Stick to high-speed bounces and use the ludicrous amount of horsepower to get you out of trouble and in position for a reattack, and it'll perform just smashingly. Edited August 7, 2014 by OutOnTheOP

Yes... yes, it would. Or ground attack, for that matter. Would make a real mess out of most tanks, even.

fastfreddie Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Without trying to open a thread ... are the guns supposed to stop working when the engine dies? I know the guns are timed with the propeller but just wanted to make sure its not a bug.
