Thank you for the fantastic videos Bunyap.

The workload is incredibly heavy here at the moment; but I can't help but take the time to enjoy these and get motivated from your infectious excitement. :)

P.S. the reason your switches sometimes reset during the startup procedure is that they auto-repair of system components kicks in (about 4-5 minutes when the engine is off). We're looking at ways to make this an opt-in system or otherwise make it less intrusive when you're idling before starting the engine.

So currently, if I spend more than 4 min to go through startup procedures, some switches would be reset after 4min?

The timer runs only when the engine is off.

I think at the beginning of a mission, the stress should be 0, so even at that time engine is off, the timer should be deactivated (only when stress not 0, and engine is off, activate the timer would be good).

I'll have to check with Novak on what solution he opted for; but its' certainly something that we've been looking at changing. :)

How much rudder do you use with the MiG-21 compared to other planes? Is it like the WWII props or the helicopters in that you need pedals to fly, or does a twist stick do the job?

I'm not sure but I think it'll help when you're turning unlike most other DCS aircraft so I think you will use it a bit more than usual.

Awesome stuff Bunyap.

I only discovered your channel recently, but you make excellent DCS videos, and the MiG-21 vids are no exception.

Thank you :)

Oh, and not to skimp on thanks: Leatherneck, the more I see of this module, the more jaw-droppingly amazed and impressed I am.

I know it's been a long process, with its bumps, problems, and I'm sure it doesn't help that we're all impatient and wanted this released a week ago - But Cobra, et. al. - it looks like the results are amazing.

Awesome videos! Thanks a lot. And all those private ones make me think we'll get the other 8 ones very soon as they're up on the tube already :)

From the initial release of those stunningly detailed cockpit images through to all the feed back we are getting from the DCS testers and early release demo folk; everything here seems to be pointing towards a milestone event with the release or the Mig 21. Highly detailed in all visual and modelling aspects and highly polished as a complete product. I don't think DCS has seen anything like this since the release of the A-10C.

Agree with u....

I already know this will be my favourite DCS... I wanted a Russian fighter since Ka-50 release :)

It has definitely not :)

That said, this is the very first DCS Fast-Jet to be released so it's satisfyingly good to know that the bar is being set sufficiently high for others to follow.

I also agree with you, this is gonna be a big step.

DCS is doing well, a lot, really a lot of effort has been done in the last two years. Now we have a solid helicopter sim, and a incoming big future on the piston side of air fights.

For me the Mig 21, with the A-10C and the F-86, is setting the basis for the deep simulation of jet aircraft. Which is fantastic.

When someone will be able to sum the naval aviation, we will have the best simulation ever of the air combat environment.

And I will spend hours learning about aviation...

Agreed, Naval aviation in detail (DCS Quality) will be a game changer. 2014 is turning out to be a great year for DCS. I think all the teams and ED can be very proud of themselves. LN, the Mig21 is the EDGE video is just absolutely stunning. Fantastic job, looking forward to purchasing her from you.

I think we sometimes forget that you guys saved that project and are acting with huge amounts of integrity with honoring the initial teams terms. Hats off guys

Yes exactly.

And if the global environment of the sim was in the 60-70's, it will be probably more and more immersive.

But we will already have a great simulator with this russain delta wing fighter.

Thanks a lot to LN for their efforts.

Other next modules on DCS will suffer the comparison with the MIG-21 from LN, for sure !
