No you won't. See this post on how to update your logbook. You can manually set your campaign progress to whatever mission you desire.

 

Especially handy when you get "stuck" on a mission and want to try the other missions in a campaign. :thumbup:

Is it now OFFICIALLY safe to apply the update then? I held off just to make sure I didn;t break anything, would be good to get word from ED if everything has been ironed out?

Great! I just let it update, only to find that I now can't install the MiG-21bis because that installer hasn't been updated!

 

I'll now uninstall everything, reinstall 1.2.10.32095.521-353, install the MiG-21, then update again.

 

Had about 6 flights this year and waiting for the Hawk. Well, the Lancer got here first, so after waiting over 2 years for it, I thought it was time to get back in the saddle.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the aircraft installers to update? I am in the middle of a complete reinstall and cant install any of the aircraft I have purchased.

As I understood, normally DCS must have deleted the "aircrafts" folder and its content, but if there're some files that was installed by a mod or yourself, DCS didn't delete it.

 

Just browse and examine the aircrafts folder, you'll see the files that left from some mods. You can backup or delete them...

I don't get the update, probably because of the "once in 24h" thing... how can i force update? :)

 

Edit: found it: just hang in the "updater" parameter, made a shortcut for that now.

 

For those who want to know how: Just go to your DCS World\bin folder, richt click DCS_updater.exe, create shortcut and then right click that new one, properties and change the target by adding update after the exe path like this:

 

"E:\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update

 

Don't forget the space and keep those quotation marks wrapped around the path. Don't get that "update" in there.

You know that you do no longer need to install modules manually? When using the "Module Manager"(not available in Steam), you just buy the Key, ED updates their Database and when launching the Module Manager and log in, the install should start automatically?

I did the update 2. Lost my install of FC3, A-10C, UH-1. (I think that is all I lost.) The re-install was short, though. Just the modules. Lost all my control profiles, though. :-E
