HugePanic Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 that's a great find. Especially since it is modeled good. Talk to the ground crew to setup the config file.. ;)

[DBS]TH0R Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Interesting find indeed. Would like to have this as an option in-game, perhaps through loadout interface. Lizzard Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I think it would be just great to ask the groundcrew for various settings...so go for it ED:) My Specs: I don`t care..it is a Computer..a black one..

Manoxerox Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 It seems to balance the plane nicely. But I also haven't tried it with bombs/rockets/extra fuel tank. But thx, jcomm, it's a nice one.
TwilightZone Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 ......this is really a great find jcomm,....as you said personal taste would be key.... being able to adjust it at loadout as Thor mentioned would be good......:-) P-51, 190-D9, 109-K4, Spitfire MK IX, Normandy, and everything else:joystick: i7 4770K, 4.3ghz, 32gb ram, Windows-10 Pro, Z87 Exstreme4, Corsair 850w psu, Samsung Evo 1T SSD & 250 SSD, Titan-X 12gb OC, Asus ROG Swift 27"/1440p/144hz/1ms monitor, Trackir 5, TM Warthog & 10cm extension, Saitek TPM, MFG crosswind pedals
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) Ok, thx! Great to know :-) Will try it with bombs & rockets this weekend ;-) Edited October 3, 2014 by jcomm Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
KLR Rico Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I also think it would be great to have it in the loadout menu. Perhaps somewhere away from the other sliders, so it's not adjusted accidently. i5-4670K@4.5GHz / 16 GB RAM / SSD / GTX1080 Rift CV1 / G-seat / modded FFB HOTAS
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 so the aircraft does have trim tabs but where setup by ground crews? cannot adjust them in flight? Correct, just like many other aircraft, past & present, the Bf109 too for instance, the Fw190 had ground adjustable rudder and aileron trim tabs ( also, I believe, one in the elevator, although the Fw190 also uses a stabilator that can be adjusted by the pilot from the cockpit for pitch trim ) Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
JST Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 so the aircraft does have trim tabs but where setup by ground crews? cannot adjust them in flight? Exactly. Elevator only by pilot. My skins/liveries for Fw 190 D-9 and Bf 109 K-4: My blog or Forums. Open for requests as well. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
leapingrodent Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I've just tried it out, definitely more stable in flight, agree though that it'd be nice to have the option in game via ground crew.
Lilkiki Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Oh yes, the Dora is more stable on level flight with this tweak ! Thanks for sharing ! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TWC_SLAG Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 How do you open a lua file, so the change can be made? Thanks, badfinger TWC_SLAG Win 10 64 bit, 2T Hard Drive, 1T SSD, 500GB SSD, ASUS Prime Z390 MB, Intel i9 9900 Coffee Lake 3.1mhz CPU, ASUS 2070 Super GPU, 32gb DDR4 Ram, Track IR5, 32” Gigabyte curved monitor, TM Warthog HOTAS, CH Pedals, Voice Attack, hp Reverb G2.
jackdaw Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 i made a copy of the file and moved it to the desktop, made the change using note pad, removed the original and saved in documents. put back the copied file.

Simple as that? Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) In my case it was even simpler, since my DCS install is out of the system folders, in a separate partition I always create for the sims... This way I can always navigate to the folder where the file is, make a backup of it, and edit and modify, then save. Just an hint: I use Notepad++, a very nice freeware tool. And back to the value I have used, although I didn't change it further, I believe I would probably change it to -0.016 because there is still a bit too much roll ( left ) under some cruise power settings.... Katmandu Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Also voting to make it default in DCS! Or make it available in setup screen.
