Audio is not working for me... There is no sound. I tried Su-27 and Mig-21, neither makes any sound. My computer plays other sounds (music and system sounds) OK.

Also, I tried a few mods (PeterP's HDR, SweetFX 1.4 and 1.5.1, and Mustang's shader mod. Yeah, yeah, I know. I am not suppose to use mods in ob. I just wanted to try.). DCS crashes, either without loading the main screen or when trying to load a mission.

I have tried repairing the install to no avail. Any other idea?

Thanks.

I've had issues with sound being gone from DCS before and they were a result of Windows routing audio incorrectly or windows turning down the volume a majority of the time. Other times it was Skype or TS3 blocking applications from using the audio device for some reason.

As for the crashes, with mods, does dcs crash with those said mods removed? If it doesnt then its a crash/bug report that should be sent to the author of the mod.

The Su-27 FM feels good... but how on earth can I do a cobra? Pulling back my stick results in my ingame pilot pulling it back extremely slowly, roll input however is instant. Is there an override key again that I oversaw? I hope not :)

update released?

have read the info on the update the bug fixes, but wasnt able to find any info as to when it will be release to DSC world. Is it strictly for those who bought the SU-27 module for the moment?

I recall having seen it on the official website's news page for the 15th of November. Unless that recently changed :)

Yes, but they changed it back to the old way with the lever on the stick

I want to map that axis... but it's not available. Button only is bad.

Also it's very hard to control speed by thrust on the ground. I need ~80% rpm to get more speed and it goes up to 100km/h in nothing, but if I reduce throttle, the plane even stops without brakes. Looks very cheesy ATM.

Also, using a FFB2 stick, I have to trim fully forward and still push the stick further to fly level. Very strange.

At least I found the ASC Direct Control (Cobra) command, must be very careful in that one. Pressing it in level flight (remember, fully trimmed forward and stick almost in the dashboard) makes an instant neg cobra :megalol:

Why would you do a cobra at 1000 km/h?

Especially you as a software tester should know why. Because testing incluces trying things one normally wouldn't do. That's the first thing I learnt in software development. Because there could always be some people doing unexpected and even stupid things. But of course it doesn't change the fact that you need decent reports instead of "that looks wrong" statements.

Sounds like you have some unintended multiple control assignments, either in axis page or button page. (Your wheel brake sounds like it is commanded on by an assignment you are not aware of.)

See the sticky thread in this forum section for installing modules manually.

Just checked, no unwanted brake input, as it reacts to the brake button. Throttle is just very sensitive at low regimes.

Looks like that ECM light in the Su-25T (an issue that appeared with 1.2.8 Beta) still hasn't been fixed. When will it be? :(

I am dissapointed with lack of fixes for Dora and 51

Something like... DM tweaked would be awesome

No news on the109 o.O

You're disappointed about the Dora? Those of us flying the Mi-8 haven't had ANY updates since April! None. Not even fixes, much less new stuff. The thing has been released for over a year and it's still in Beta and still lacking 80% of what the Huey has - we have no sling-loading, no additional gunners, lights inside don't work (useful for night missions), most switches are useless...

Heck, we don't even have a flight manual!

When you're stuck for over a year at such a dead-end, THEN you can be disappointed (no offense meant, this is just frustration talking, not aimed at you)!:mad:

While on the other hand that developer studio is churning out new betas and abandoning old - seriously disappointed with Belsimtek. Poor show. :(

Does the Su-27 have an individual flight manual now finally?

I would also appreciate if someone could tell me how to quicky and easily move all my pilots and settings to OpenBeta.

Also can non-beta be deleted completely when OpenBeta is installed?

I'm considering switching to OpenBeta entirely if it's possible... new stuff quicker, nice.

Yes, there is a specific manual for Su-27 now. You can delete the non-beta install, and switch to OB entirely. But then you risk not being able to play at all, because OB by definition can be quite unstable (more so than released versions, I mean :D).

Cobra maneuver at 1000km/h has little to do with either flight model (in game) or aerodynamic design (in real life). Rather, it has everything to do with onboard fly-by-wire computer, or the simulation of it in game, which should prevent such a maneuver at such extreme speed.

IF, however, one is able to go around the control computer and attempt the Cobra maneuver at 1000km/h, then the overload will shatter the airframe in an instant. Again, in this latter case, it is not the flight model, but the damage model, that matters.

Umm, so when I fly the Su-27, and I try to turn in any direction, the rudder kicks in and makes it very unstable, and has a tendency to spin out and kill the engines, which makes the aircraft completely unflyable in any way. My question is, is there a way to shut off the auto rudder for the Su-27 or is that just the way it is?

DCS: F-4E really needs to be a thing!!!!!!
