Working hard and in serious overtime at present, both on upcoming products and MiG-21 bugs and fixes, thus some lengthy silence.

Thanks for your hard work, it's really appreciated and my money is ready to prove that :D

Why is no one guessing JAS 39 Gripen? Is it too modern compared to the Viggen?

Does it have CRTs for example? Just one point from the list and yeah, it's also pretty (too?) modern.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Doesn't fit the hints because it has conventional means of propulsion (no reverse thrust). I also think it would be hard to acquire all the necessary information to take on such a project.

I'm a little behind on the clues, and 150 pages is quite a bit to chew, does anyone have a summery of clues?

  • Ground Mapping and Targeting Radar
  • Complex missiles with Advanced Targeting Parameters
  • Custom shaders for enhanced visual fidelity (e.g. CRT Screen representation)
  • Unique visual features (In-pilot customization, etc.)
  • New audio cues and enhanced fidelity
  • Far more complex avionic and computer systems than in the MiG-21
  • New and unique PFM features and aerodynamic configurations
  • New or unique methods of propulsion or force distribution

+

  • Swedish Airforce Logo (Cobra avatar)
  • RB 04E anti-ship missile used on Viggen and Lansen (Cobra avatar)
  • Black Sheep Logo (Cobra avatar) US Marine squadron Black Sheep, flew Corsairs amongst other things.
  • Said their namesake is related to a future module (Leatherneck, nickname of Marine aviators)

Probably some more stuff i forgot about.

Edit: Keep in mind there is two unannounced modules, not one.

We know a Leatherneck employee has been working on a Viggen 3D model. That's not a confirmation though. Could be a side project he does on his spare time, but it could also be for a Leatherneck module. Who knows...

it's a black ram, not a sheep.

A Ram is an un-castrated sheep.

The avatar was definitely from the VMA-214 squadron patch.

I don't test for bugs, but when I do I do it in production.

No it's not, it's just a male sheep, chopped or not.

Believe me, I'm a Kiwi :D

I wonder why the 214 Squadron's logo says: "Blacksheep" and not "Blackrams"? ;)

Please, could LS do something to your future products to correct in game cockpit deformation on the sides of the screen:

Dude, I think you do not understand optics and FOV. It has nothing to do with addon development. It is just caused by the set-up being used by end-user.

But he has a short and simple question. The answer, though would be "No!" :D

...in earnest, the rendering is done in game by the render engine, if the "user" decides to move his field of view to 120° and does not have a monitor setup that covers 120° this is what you get.

You need to accept, that a monitor represents a window into the simulated world. If you want perceptual accuracy and peripheral vision, you need a curved 180° screen, or better a full 360° projection.
