Thumper1606688436
Could you please display your FPS while streaming so we can get a rough idea of performance based on your hardware specs. I currently rock 2 x GTX970's in SLI so I'm hopeful for a min 60 FPS. The framerate in DCS currently tanks when flying the KA-50 with a wingman engaging targets near heavily populated areas. Drops as low as 20 fps at times even with my setup. Looking forward to experiencing the new chrome effects that edge provides. Will be interesting to see if the light glints off the surfaces when at a distance making them easier to spot.
ED Team NineLine Posted June 15, 2015 ED Team Share Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) Update from Matt about the stream: 1- will be in the med/high portion of the map 2- will be with aircraft already available to the public 3- new explosions are not in DCSW2 yet 4- there will be one fixed wing aircraft flight and one rotary wing aircraft flight This stream will be pre-alpha, as such, performance may very from what we see to what we get in our release. So don't count on him displaying info like that at this time. As this goes through internal testers and gets optimized more, then we will start seeing performance info and requirements I am sure. Exorcet
Strange that there is no poll, would make picking the one aircraft easier. I vote for the F-15, why? Practicality. It is the fastest and highest flying aircraft in DCS, so we'll see the most of the map. F-15 can fly from 150 knots to 1450 and from 0 altitude to 130,000 ft. If there is going to be combat on the stream, then I'd like to see the P-51 or F-86 to see new gun smoke and visible spotting effects (if any). Either way it's great to see ED doing this. VIKBELL
IF we are using current aircraft use the F-86. Its a copyright infringement. Would ED really press the copyright claim ? Wouldn't the person uploading the video just pretty much be promoting their game for free ? ED Team NineLine Posted June 18, 2015 ED Team Share Posted June 18, 2015 ED is doing this stream for our benefit, to get a sneak peek at what is coming, no one is allowed to take that video and post it somewhere, if ED wanted that, they would post it themselves. Just like I will be there to moderate the chat as well, Its not a free for all just because its twitch ;) This is Matt's first live stream, he doesnt want to record this one as he has no idea how it will go, if it goes good, we will see more, he will record those, and post them more than likely. If this turns into a hot mess, we get the trolls showing up, and making it miserable for everyone, these might go the way of the weekly updates, know what I mean... I dont think you can completely shut off chat, I think you can slow it down so people can only post ever 2 minutes, but I am not sure what else you can do, this is the test run this Sunday :) Edit: Actually I did find an option to pretty much shut off chat. Have to ask Matt about that, I would rather just have everyone behave ;) Edited June 19, 2015 by NineLine Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
